medicinewheel8
Hello! I live in NC. I opened my above ground pool a few weeks ago. Put in chemicals etc, used Aquabug 'robot' cleaner (purchased last summer). I used a winter cover, treated the pool as directed for closing and opening. Noticed on the bottom of the pool and in the filter were MAGGOTS! Trying to clean them out. Where did they come from!?!?
rklesla
Nice. I get bugs too from over winter, but never maggots. Usually maggots just eat decomposing flesh, so maybe you have a dead animal in there? Someone else that winterizes there pool might be able to help you better. I always drain the pool and refill every year so those bugs are in the creek after I drain it.

I don't know of any flies that have built in SCUBA.
