martiniman Posted October 26, 2019 Report Share Posted October 26, 2019 My old spa was 355 gallons. I tested weekly and double checked with the local spa store. I always kept the water in perfect balance. It was good for a good 3-4 months, per testing, before i'd have to drain the water. Well, It finally died so replaced it with a smaller Hot Springs SX, 285 gallons. Perfect tub for my wife and I. Love the tub, but after only 1 and a half months, the Total Dissolved Solids and Cyanuric Acid are very high. I don't want to change my water every 2 months! It was only a 70 gallon difference in size. Any ideas how to prolong my water changes? Anyone out there with the SX or similar spa with 285 gallons? If so, how long do you go between water changes?
