gaz2923 Posted October 17, 2019 Report Share Posted October 17, 2019 Hi I am new to the forum, hopefully this is the place for all my answers :-) Have a 6 person intex pure spa hot tub and I refill it every 4 weeks. I am now on my 4th refill, filled it, added Alkanlinity Increaser to get this up to about 120. Added PH plus and got it up to about 6.5 (which I know is low but am still increasing this) then added 25g of chlorine granuals around 20 hours ago. My current FC reading is between 5 and 10 according to the strip - which it says is fine - but I have a high total chlorine reading of about 30 whereas normally I dont remember seeing anything on total chlorine. Will the total chlorine level drop off or have I dont something wrong? I understand that TC is made up of FC and CC so perhaps this is just the shock dose doing its job?
