gilc Posted February 17, 2017 Report Share Posted February 17, 2017 I have an 850 gal spa. Usual temp rise is 50-60 degress F (outside temp 40-50 in winter). Electricity cost is $0.12/KwH. You'll need to compare your cost of a "Therm" of gas (generally how natural gas is billed) with 24Kwh of electricity (1 therm natural gas = 29.3kW electricity, however gas heaters are only 82% efficient).
