bdo21
I have a Dimension One Amore Bay and we are doing extensive work on our house and garden and as part of this we would like to sink or half sink the hot tub into the decking. The issue is how to deal with the cover - it is currently on the usual frame lifter and sticks up at the end of the hot tub, blocking the view (bad design!) - does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with the cover so it is out of the way and allows the tub to be fully or partially sunk? (In a way which doesn't require multiple people to manually lift the cover away from the tub) Thanks!
Loopcity
There isn't really a way to do that with that spa. The "bad design" is really the only cover lifter that will work with that spa due to it's unusual shape.
bdo21
Thanks. I was thinking about integrating rollers into the decking so I can fold back the spa cover and just push it across the rollers on the decking out of the way when we are using the tub and the push it back when we're finished. Like this link (https://www.coversfortubs.co.uk/roller-cover-system.html) but integrated into the decking. Do you think this would work? Thanks! Dr. Spa
Until someone steps on it and rolls onto the tub, breaking the cover.
bdo21
Not a big issue given the location (no reason to walk on this piece of decking which is just between the hot tub and garden boundary). Any other thoughts/comments? Thanks!
SpaJock
Any luck on the cover. I am considering the Amore.
bdo21
Unfortunately not... We start our work in January and it will be a few months before we get to this so any ideas would still be very, very welcome!
SpaJock
If we decide on this particular spa I will fabricate some stainless steel brackets and make something work. I'll keep you in the loop. Still deciding between Jacuzzi 400 series and D1 AMore/Lotus.
