David44357
I'm looking to build a wood platform for a hot tub similar to: "] [/url]>this</a> except with more limited framing and 6x6s. This will elevate it about 6-18 inches, so that it is a good height to walk into from the deck and is off the ground. My plan wasn't to build a full-on deck for it, but just a square of 6x6s placed on even ground, staked into the earth and bracketed together, so that the hot tub's load-bearing walls are laying on 6x6s which lay directly on the ground. With the new hot tub I was going to buy, the salesperson had a diagram of the hot tub's load bearing walls, but at the last minute I found a good deal on a used hot tub on Craigslist and its owner's manual doesn't seem to say where its load bearing walls are. Is there a way to find out? It's a 2004 LA Spas tub.
