carl333
Hot tub owner and anticipating a heavy bather load this weekend. I have read that i can add additional activator to keep up with the demand on sanitizer. Question, will adding more MPS/bleach increase the bromine levels to unsafe levels or is adding more activator just maintaining a safe level for a longer period of time? I'm thinking that the starting amount of sodium bromide is important to follow after a new water change and any overdose of SB could contribute to am unsafe level of sanitizer if too much activator is added. Can someone set me straight on this.

This may help you http://www.poolspaforum.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=46329 Great read, thanks. Question. If I start a new bath and use the correct proportion of sodium bromide vs water, can I accidentally over dose the bath thus making it unsafe by adding too much MPS/chlorine? I'm thinking that the starting dose of sodium bromide in a new water change would dictate the max level of bromine in the bath regardless of how much MPS/chlorine was added. Am I on track?
