yogosun
Hey All! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Own a hot tub with a balboa board and topside. The heat stopped working and we weren't sure what happened. Wen't through the basic diagnostics and tested the heating element...showed 11-15 ohms, so that's fine. After that, we cycled the power on and off and things changed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What seems to happen is that after a power on/off, the hot tub is in SLP mode, but the jets and heater will work all the way up to 77 degrees. At that point the hottub switches to econ or stays in sleep mode and won't heat any higher. No idea why..but it basically is stuck in SLP mode. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's a 2012 setup. The topside is an oval, with the display screen in the middle, warm/mode/cool on the right side, and jets/aux/light on the left side. The lights are Jets, Aux, Light, and Heat. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's a VS series system, and the part number is 55370-01. The model number is VS504SZ. Here's a picture of what the top side/board look like -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://imgur.com/a/b4Ofo
yogosun
Can't figure out what the heck is wrong with it, and also can't find out the specific top side. I don't know if the issue is a busted board or topside. Any expert advice would be SO APPRECIATED!! Thank you so much!
PreservedSwine
" the hot tub is in SLP mode" You're in SLEEP mode, which turn off the heater. It reaches 77 because of the pump running. Take it out of SLEEP (SLP) mode into into STANDARD mode (std), and you should be fine
