spooky612
So i am using leisure time test strips. I went to test my water and I am getting a bright orange reading for the bromine level?? Is this due to it being beyond the 20ppm reading? It was recently off during a snow storm for like three days so maybe its contaminated? Help me oh spa wizards!! chem geek
Yes, it sounds like you've got a very high bromine level. With no bather load, the bromine tabs could build up bromine. Also, if you have an ozonator, the ozone wil generate additional bromine from the bromide bank (bromide is what is leftover from previous bromine use and you may have added some sodium bromide initially).
