bison
Got the leak fixed (I hope!) on my Bengal spa without killing myself, only to find after getting it back in place and full of water that it's not heating. Arrggh! Symptoms: Everything appears to work normally other than the heater. Circ pump is on and the jets work fine. There are two lights illuminated on the control board. I don't recall exactly what they say, but a green one is "Heating" and the other is red and something about LM. Spa operates on 120v. Power light is on and steady. I pulled the power wires to the heater and got 120v at the terminals. Checked resistance of the heater and got open circuit. Heater is a C3564-1 that's about 2 years old. I see it's got a manual reset. The only thing I saw was a little green pin that was sticking about 3/16" out of the end (wire side). I pushed this in - is this the reset? bison
Problem is solved... the little button was indeed the reset for the heater. I think when I first plugged it in after refilling the tub it tripped as there as air in the line and maybe it overheated before water circulated thru it.
