hjames710
In my quest for a new to me spa, after my current tub sprung a fatal leak under the lounge, I found this smokin' hot deal on a 2002 Soverign. The guy has it filled already and heating up as we speak. It looks as though it has had great care, and the guy has been very knowledgable, is it worth the $700 plus $200 or so to have it moved? http://denver.craigslist.org/app/3125211047.html
Chas
That's a smokin price for a running HotSpring. Keep in mind that you may need: - new cover $400 (I know it looks good in the picture, but if it is the original, it may be waterlogged and heavy) - Wiring - I see conduit coming out, but I also see a HotSpring 110Volt outlet cover - One way or another you will need to supply adequate electrical. - Moto Massage $100 (if it works, leave it. But if it is the original, you can count on replacing it: they last 5 to 10 years). Level it better than they have - there should be THREE rows of shims: one row about a foot in from each outside edge, and one right down the center. blindrid
I'd be all over it if my HS left. They are easy to work on and the PP mentioned replacing the motomassage - mine just replaced after 12 years and cost about $95 shipped. Biggest things is make sure of no leaks as everything else is not that costly to replace i.e. heater, circ pump, board, etc. For that money, that gives plenty of room for parts as needed. blindrid
Move it yourself as it isn't that hard or that heavy. Of course assuming you don't have any insurmountable issues i.e. backyards that are hard to navigate. I find it hard to believe that somone would charge $600 though. hjames710
Never bought this spa, we now have a bigger one, and it's going to cost us $250 to have it moved about 9 miles this fall.
