gareth
Hello, I have a four year old 20,000 US gallon in ground vinyl pool in Cyprus (so water temps are about 30 deg C) The problem is that my chlorine levels and PH will not stay up and it now looks like its also damaged the liner, which has developed small bubbles in it. The PH is at the bottom of my reading so could be lower than 6.8, and the chlorine only lasts a few hours, then becomes unmeasurable. TA is 140 Calcium hardness is 180 Free chlorine was 0.2 and Total was 0.6 If I do raise the PH, it lasts about 24 hours, then drops back, same with the chlorine. Part of the problem is that over here we do not have a great deal of choice with chemicals, so many of the things that I've read about are not available. Can anyone help point me in the right direction? Thanks Gareth
Lilahblossom
Oh Man you do have problems. Do you have stabilizer in your pool?? That is what holds the chlorine in there. See if you can get some. I use baking soda for my ph. That should be easier for you to get.
