poolgirl13
We are in the process of getting pool quotes. So far I've gotten 3 quotes. 2 are from well known local companies who have been around 30 and 50 years but are on the higher end pricewise. I have heard of Blue Haven but don't know too much about them. The sales guy told me they used a pool surface called Wet Edge. Has anyone seen this or have it? txpoolguy
chances are good that "Wet Edge" is the same as other common products, as Blue Haven often uses the same products, but gives it a unique name so it sounds different. I'm not familiar with that name. Before you sign a contract with ANYONE, talk to prior customers of each builder. If you ask for a referral list, you generally get only a list of happy customers, but ALL builders have unhappy customers, no matter how good the builder is. Don't rule out a builder due to one unhappy customer, but if you can talk to the customers, you'll get a feel for how the builder handles issues that arise. You may be able to get a list of permits issued by the city where you live. Sometimes, just driving thru neighborhoods, you will see signs in the front yard of jobs currently under construction. Check the BBB as well.

It's pretty good stuff. As far as Blue Haven is concerned, read about them. If you go forward with them, good luck! You might want to ask them their specifications on steel for your pool. I would not recommend anything over 8" - 10". How many skimmers, returns, size of filtration, method of sanitation, how many lights, etc.
