poolgirl13
We are in the process of selecting a pool builder. I'm wondering what the best material is to use around the pool that will not be overly slippery. We currently have a 600 sq. foot stamped concrete patio that will be next to the pool. We have not had a problem with anyone slipping when it is wet but we always have shoes on. We have considered flagstone and stamped concrete for around the pool. A couple of the pool builders mentioned about the stamped concrete being slippery. Any thoughts?

If you decide to go with stamped concrete, skip the sealer.

It has a nice texture is not very slippery and stays cooler on your feet. You can get this material in various patterns if you do not want a solid color. If you want to step up a little, try Granitite. It is crushed granite that can be patterned and colored to any specifications. It is more than Spray Deck, but is durable. creekchub00
Pavers are great looking and not slippery, but the price is pretty high I think. I love the way the coping looks around a pool. If that is an option I would def. choose them.
