Computerized Water Monitoring?

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anyone knew of a system that would allow me to place a probe in the water and have a computer monitor the water?

Of course, I will get a taylor K-2006/K-2106 as well.

Thanks, -mark

I use this software to monitor temperatures in my cabin which is a two hour drive from here.

The sensors are little chips that carry their own serial number and have three pins that you'll have to solder onto a CAT 5 cable. They are not waterproof but you can attach them to the outside of a pipe inside the cabinet then cover with some insulation to read temperature there.

One option that I use to monitor temp/humidity of my wine cellar is:

T&D's RTR-5W (web server and wireless receiver)

+

T&D's RTR-52/53 http://www.microdaq.com/tandd/rtr-5/rtr-52.php

But they are VERY spendy...

I was also hoping to monitor more than just temp...I really wanted to montor chlorine level in real time...that would be super interesting...
