Higgs
I have a new pool (20x50) and never have been in it. I winterized it and then just started it up. Skimmers took forever to pull but my main line doesn't pull at all - only air and no water. When I have my other skimmers (2) running and turn on the main line all the water goes out of the pump and it just sucks air. I probably have a main line crack? Any other possibilities? Could it somehow be clogged? It has a cover so it was totally clean when I tried.
Pathfinder
when you are running your skimmers slowly(like snails pace) turn your 3 way valve to the main drain. Once you have it open the tiniest bit leave it for a couple seconds so that your skimmers are still on 90%. Then repeat this procedure until your main drain is open all of the way. You might have to try this a couple times to get the air out of the line.
