thinkxingu
Hello, New to the forum and looking for help or suggestions. Local dealer has brand new 2008 floor model Sundance Hartford with stainless jets, ozone system, LED lighting system, cover, lift, delivery, and chemicals for $5,400. Is this a good deal and a good tub? Also, any options for a similar tub/price point would be appreciated. Thanks! SML

soakerguy
This is the low end 680 series Sundance spa, used to be If I recal, the "Everyday" line of spas. This spa has 42 jets with 24 of them being "bullet" jets ie...DXL or DL as they call them. this really gives you only 18 decent jets in the spa. It also features a lower end topside control. Also look closely at the jets offered on this entry level spa and compare to other spas in that price range. The stereo that is offered is a low end stereo with no sub woofer apparent. The spa cover is a 4" to 2" when even the off brand manufactures use a 5"3" taper cover. Also, look at the warranty! The spa components are only one year! FIVE YEAR SHELL STRUCTURE 680 Series spas are warranted against water loss due to defects in the spa shell for fi ve years from the original date of purchase. 5 THREE YEAR SHELL SURFACE 680 Series spas are warranted against blisters, cracks, or delamination of the interior surface of the spa shell due to defects in workmanship or materials for three years from the original date of purchase. 3 ONE YEAR EQUIPMENT AND CONTROLS 680 Series electrical equipment components (specifi cally the pumps, heater, and control system) are warranted against malfunctions due to defects in workmanship or materials for one year from the original date of purchase. thinkxingu
Thanks for the responses. As for the warranty, this (http://www.sundancespas.com/CustomerCare/680Warranty.pdf) says it is 5 years on the shell and 3 years on the components. Also, compared to what else I've found (BullFrog, Hot Springs, etc.) this seems to be a good value for the price, no? SML
