Jeff W.
I NEED HELP, PLEASE!!! We have an indoor, inground 15'X30' swimming pool with an indoor Caldera above ground spa. The pool is approx. 10 years old, the spa 11/2 years old. Both pool and spa are filled with well water, although, the pool was completely emptied a year ago and filled with Lake Michigan water. We use chlorine for both spa and pool. I have a service out once a month. They check the chemicals, sweep, and clean. They periodically use liquid chloring as a shock. The pool has a new heater and an electric cover. The spa is also covered unless in use. The pool room has its own furnace and dehumidifier. We have a large pond behind our house. We have lived in the house 11/2 years and boy what a learning curve. Issues: 1. The pool has a film on top and is slightly cloudy. Also, there are a few little globules and questionable bugs floating on the surface. The room is kept very clean. 2. When I'm in the room I frequently will wheeze. 3. Is there any advantage to switching the pool to bromine? 4. Having both an indoor pool and spa, is there any risk regarding carcinogens? Or pulmonary problems? 5. Should we leave the fan and dehumidifier on all the time? THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANSWERS AND SUGGESTIONS .
