poolboy2
Ok, first time blogger...just filled 18 x 48 with our well water...used 120# of salt, hooked up salt chlorinator...rusty brown water...added 3# of shock...3 days later not much change...label on top of shock said not to mix with chlorine...oh well...added 3 gallons of chlorine (sanitizer) and still no change. Replaced filter twice. Have I really screwed up the water!?! Ok, pool people...now what to do? Thanks in advance for your help!
Strannik
when you have a rusty brown water shocking doesn't help much. your well water might be rich on iron.

Go to the pool store and tell them you used well water and they should give you some sort of clarifier for metals... I had to clean my DE filter about 3 times in 2 days..
