RedBull
Hey there, Another newbie with a problem… I purchased a house with a pool. Pool looked like a pound for crocs: VERY VERY VERY green. Don’t know for how long it’s been that way. Got it inspected. Inspector said that the pool was remodeled in mid 90’s and the plaster shouldn’t suffer from this green water (I hope it wasn’t that green since 90’s). Anyway, I got it drained and acid washed (twice, according to a pool-guy who was doing it). There is some kind of deposit on the walls of the pool, looks like calcium dots, approximately 1mm in diameter, very close to each other. They form one layer that covers the entire vertical surface of the pool (nothing on horizontal surface). The pool-guy said it will not come off. I did not believe, tried to scrape it off… hardly got a bit off. The problem: it makes pool look grey on the sides… Does anyone know what this stuff is, and are there any other alternatives other than re-plastering? Thanks
