I chose the '08 Altamar over the '07 Certa for the upgrades: pumps, jet types, chrome jets, wrist jets, air jets & control panel to name a few. The price difference was about $1,500. My total cost for the new Altamar (inclding upgraded steps, cover, lift (Standard), chemical starter set and delivery) was $8,700 (includes tax, which is 7.5% for me). I live in Minnesota.
