  1. Hey Guys, I have a 15 amp 240V Waterco Portapac Heat Pump (air button model). It will work for about 60 seconds and then trips out. I have to push the reset power button and the "power" light comes on again. Turn on the jets and it will run for up to a minute and then cuts out. It doesn't trip the main power on house, just the pump itself. Any ideas? Cheers
  2. I have a Polaris PB4-60 Booster pump that I recently unhooked from everything to put a new seal in as it was leaking. After I re-installed it just the way it was and turned it on it made a lower sound than normal then tripped the breaker. I checked the wiring and tightened the grounds and tried again, it ran for a moment (I could see the cleaner's hose tighten up like it does normally) and then it tripped again. This time though I noticed a almost burning smell was coming from the pump so i left it alone for a day or two. I came back today and tried it again and it did the same thing after no more than ten seconds, I did notice even after that short of a time that the outer metal of it was pretty warm for running that short of a time. Is there anything I can do to save this pump, or is it time to replace some part or the whole thing?
  3. Hello, I have a Hayward Super II Pump SP3010X15AZ that is leaking from the top. I had a pool professional look at it and they replaced the housing gasket. It was still leaking after they replaced the gasket and then indicated that the seal plate may be cracked. In looking at where it is leaking and researching on the internet everything I have read still points to the gasket as being the issue. It is leaking from the top, between the seal plate and the pump housing. Before I order parts I wanted to see if someone could provide me with an educated guess if I should order the seal plate and another gasket? Or could something else be causing this leak? Thank you!
