Hi team! I have a balboa hot tub. I have had to replace the heater twice in the last 8 months. I know that this shouldn’t be the case. They seem to last 4-6 months before blowing (trip the board and ohm tests show no current running through element). They don’t seem to show any obvious sign of damage, maybe just a bit of white and green around the connections. Does anyone know why the heaters don’t seem to be lasting too long? I am about to order another heater but wondering if I need to check or replace any other parts? could poor water health cause this?

Hello, I bought a house 1 year ago, and it came with a HotSprings Grandee Spa, which worked great even after I refilled it back in April 2016. My spa has a slow but steady leak that looks like it is coming from one of the split nuts on the Balboa Heater. Does anyone know if this is common? I have read that I need to replace heater, but the unit was working OK before the leak. Looking for suggestions on fix from experts and others. Thank you.

I would like to extend my pool season and am not sure which route to go when thinking of heaters. We live in Newport News Virginia. Regular season is probably June through September. I would like to try and extend our enjoyment from maybe mid April till mid October. I checked on solar heaters and they run around $3000.00 installed (low end) for my pool. I have a 12 x 24 kidney shaped pool. Somewhere around 8000-10000 gallons. 3 1/2' deep to 5 1/2' deep. Just seems high to me. Also, since the front of my house faces south, the panels will be facing the street. What happens when you have to do
