  1. Why are using all those sanitizers? You have an Ozonator, thats doing 80% of the sanitizing- Dichlor which is doing 75% and a Nature 2 stick that is now worthless because of all the dichlor in the tub. Stop the dichlor, get a new Nature 2 and that will do 50% of the sanitizing (you are still doing more than needed). Using MPS will disable the cell wall of the bacteria and let the Nature 2 and ozone kill the bacteria more effectively. The only time you need dichlor is after heavy-heavy use and you don't know the status of the bathers( clean or dirty) or using fragrances (which is not recommended), then you only use a tbsp. Less is more with hot tub chemicals.
  2. How far apart are your joists? 16" on center with Trex can give a liitle with the weight of a tub, you may want to add another joist in between existing where the tub is going. Are the posts 4x4 or 6x6? How far apart are they? The Jetsetter is 105 lbs per sq. ft. if you make a drawing of your deck and take it to your dealer (i'm guessing Mainely Hot tubs) they will have the answers for you. If you go Solana TX, it only weighs 75 lbs per sq. ft, so you would be fine if built to code. You get more jets and power with the Jetsetter, wet test the lounger - it can be uncomfy for some taller people. I have the Solana and love it.
  3. [Either your electrician has run the wrong wires to the wrong terminals or you have an air lock in your circulation pump. When you turn on the power, does the light flash or nothing at all? If it flashes then it is an air lock, if nothing happens, the power is hooked up wrong. Did they run new wires or use existing? What year Grandee? If they didnt connect the white nuetral wire to the 30 amp breaker (not the neutral bar) than you get nothing.
  4. Highlife was a Hotspring from 1991 to 1996 then dropped, it was brought back in 2003 after it was called the Sovereign Limited Edition 25th Anniversary. All Hotspring spas have a sticker in the motor compartment with the model name and serial number that tells when it was made. They then dropped it again in 2004 so they could change the name to Accolade with the new shell design.
  5. [Yes you should get a tub with a circ pump, these tubs run more efficiently than those without. If your pump breaks you still have a circ pump moving water, heating water if set up this way, this tub wont freeze. Circ pumps cost pennies a day to run where jet pumps cost dollars a day.
  6. [Caspian is selling Maxx Spas from Canada, the same company that supplies spas to Home Depot. They are not a long term tub, most parts wear out after 2 to 3 years and then the warranty is done. The Tiger River is a well made brand and parts will be available for many years to come. Wet test before you buy, the back center seat is very small and only kids can really use it. Caspian is very nice as you don't have jet selector switches so all jets are either on or off.
