Did you ever figure out an answer to your high salt readings? We are also in the Midwest and are having the exact same issue on a new tub. The actual salt levels is good if not on the lower end of normal, around 1600 ppm using Taylor test and salt test strips. Water is soft, pH/alk balances, zero phosphates after balancing everything. But tub thinks salt level is sky high and light keeps blinking.
