I have a cheapy Leisure bay spa, ie 3 person, 120v, very simple controller.
The problem is (besides not being 220v) is that the darn pump is always on.
The spa was made 01/2006 and on the "controller" it has a blank covered cutout
"thermostatic control" and "continous filtration". With no switch there, you plug it
in and it goes...24hrs/day at 9amps....crazy.
I checked out the wiring and this is the only way it will operate.
Only the heater is controlled.
What I need is the print of the "Thermostatic control" model.
I dont mind custom circuitry (I do industrial electronics for a living)
but no need to re-invent the wheel ....usually.
I've seen all the negative info on the web about leisure bay, and if this spa
wasnt nearly free...I wouldn't bother. It was also manufactured w/o insulation.
So I removed the bottom and wrapped it up w/R-25...now is it worth $200...lol.
Anyway,Everyone, your help is greatly appreciated,
Thanks, Bill and Julie
