  1. Just like the doc said it will depend on what you have to do it.. cost!!!, any spa is worth getting up and running just for aspect of sitting in the hot water,,,it all depends on the costs to you....
  2. When determining to get a lounger or non lounger is going to be up to you. We can give advise, some people love the lounger some hate it,, loungers take up more space, bucket seats allow more movement in a spa, the lounger craddles you some you float out of some you don't, some will give you the feeling that you are laying back to far .. so i would try out both see what feels better to you/. This is going to be your tub.....good luck
  3. i would leave it,, yes rates are depending were you are at... but the costs for lowering and raising not worth it,, i leave mine in the same temp, by the time the temp drops, then to reheat, for 3 or 4 degrees i just do not see the value in it.
  4. Bill1970, Yes when you get the spa send in some pictures,,,enjoy the spa Eric
  5. you might be able to use the strip skimmer by Hayward part number 30-6520, it may work...
  6. it is your skimmer. water is pulled through the screen into the hole behind it then through the pump and heater then the pressurized filter back to the spa, you can go on the there are several internet companies that sell parts.ez spa parts, spa part plus, the spa depot, just go to one of those sites search for skimmer , you will find them, or call one of your local dealers they can get them for you as well..
  7. Bill1970 The Amore Bay like i said before is a great spa, They have a great track record , great backing from the factory, just look at this site D1Dennis from the factory is very helpful..You know there is nothing like it out there, the look ( not your typical square box with a nice architectual design) the style ( The curves, the shape, the open seating) the water feature( nice soothing babbling brook that sounds like a running creek) the ultrapure plus watermanagement system ( less chemicals, less drainings, longer period between drainings.) the Dynamic Massage Sequencer ( full body massage chair ,a very relaxing seat.)Iwatch system( no need for in house monitor , Iwatch is right there on the front of the spa( You know that the tub is ready from seeing the Iwatch) I say your wife is right....GET THE AMORE BAY.....had to throw that in....
  8. bill1970, all good brands, D1,Sundance, H2o, Marquis,Beachcomber, Artic, again all really close brands , so very close on these...I know Roger is not familiar with H2o i am....,But again check out all the dealers , see also who your comfortable with dealing...but as Roger said the Nautilus is a great tub and very comparable with anyone elses hi end, the Bay series in a category of their own...
  9. SHOWEM, On the 2 models the Diplomat and the Chairman both have the Ultralounge on there but the Chairman has the sequencer on the lound the Diplomat does not, part of why the Chairman is more. The diplomat also has the her lounger in the spa as well , so price wise the diplomat will be less, we sell quite a few of those, neat spa,,,the Californian would be the sister model to the diplomat then CHairman step up.... both very good spas......
  10. but the question to it is the software, how does that work with the Iphone or internet, phone jacks to house???? just curious, if you have an iphone whats sending the signal via interent or phone....
  11. George, enjoy the tub,, i am glad there really was not anything wrong with the spa,,not bad help from a saleguy in Spokane, the tech service at the factory in Cali, and you in New York,,, but again glad i could help a fellow hot tubber,,,,
  12. masanori, no problem, glad i can help you out, also Dennis at the factory,,,,
  13. hey Waterboy, i forgot you told me that before, thanks for the reminder,,, hottubguy its great your on here, but how do really know that they will go the longest, compared to other thermal chamber spas like Clearwater, Thermospas, Master, to name just a few, has there been independent testing of that,,,, and if i was against full foam spas like D1, Sundance, Jacuzzi, Hot Springs, to name a few,, i am not trying to say one is better than the other i think your fact is a little off, like Pathfinder said what other spas lines have you dealt with, in the field, or in the showroom, ok the remote is a good idea, but again someone has to monitor it, so does the system automatically send a email to the dealer when their is a problem going on...on the aftermarket sales, with our thermal chamber spas i sell we can do the same thing , but not very often do we do that actually i have never added on anything ...sorry i sell both insulations as well as a spa with Roxul, so i do know how long each can go before issues, since i sell them and service them....
  14. you can do a process of elimination, turn off the power remove the pump, ozone, lights, and heater wires off the board, then turn power on at the breaker, if it holds plug in the pump cords , if it holds continue to the ozone and so on,, but look at the ozone see if water bypassed the check valve and got into the unit,, ,,,,
  15. masanori, did Skip help you out,,, i also sent my number to you ..wow i was typing to fast in my response my spelling stunk, sorry about that....i sent an email to Dennis down their at the factory,,,but he was having trouble responding on the thread....
  16. masanori you say he did the solenoids and the jets started to work but the dynami seat does not work , know i am confused, that seat with the solenoids is the dyanmic massage seat..,, the buttons on the dms seat do any of them light up,....
  17. all very good brands, I would agree skip the salt sytem on any brand you go with, but also i am not a fan of bromine, i still like chlorine,,,,but with the brands you have looked ..On the D1 you might look at the Serenade model as well, be the comparanle of the brands the Triad has a lot more features in it and is going to be more money, but all very well represented....
  18. masanori, your pump number 2 is working , you said thatthe volcano jet was working, , so then its just a case of the dms sequencer button or air lockin in the valves for that seat,,, onthe captains chair those are magnetic switches, the top one is for the lights, the bottom one should be low speed, hi speed on captains chair. then pump 2 for the volcano and dms seat,,it could be on during day depending on the eye if has a shadow area may come on , but thats not a big deal,, i have one in the field stay on cause of its surroundings,,,the iwatch is doing its job , your pump2 is working just the seat, i think its an air lock in the valves just like i stated in other thread, so no reason for their to be an alarm. if the skirt lighting is not coming on , the main switch next to the toe kick coulb nebe in the off position, reach up uder toe kick its a 2 way switch to manually shut off the skirt lights..So really not a bunch off problems,, Yes i have been to the factory , they test them 2 times....on the magnetic switches, wires going to the magnetic switch board sound backwards, its possible they got pulled out at delivery with electrician got put back in wrong spots, I have seen that before... so i would not feel sick over it... simple solutions.... have you talked again to Dennis at factory....any questions you can call me...
  19. Glad to hear Bill your are still checking into them. The D1 bay series spas a great looking spa, yes it will cost you more, The Amore Bay is one of my best sellers,,, it also has a lot of features in there. hottubguy, sorry not a fan of thermal chamber spas without a standard 24/7 circ pump,, its great that the have revisions to the their software for in home monitoring( most brands have that available and you get them all aftermarket,,, sorry IMO that is not a big one for me, lets say you spend 10,000 on a hot tubs, it shoulb be ready to use , yes there can be problems with any spa, ON the D1 Bay series they have an IWATCH system on the spa. but lets say you are on vacation the last think=g you want or need to thinking about is the hot tub...is it working or not.....most issues on a hot tub can wait till you get home to be addressed, so it can do diagnostics from a phone, so you find that there is a FLO code it Sunday not much you can do about that at that moment right? the spa should shut down the heater so no other failures...right,,, ..And i sell spas that are full foam, thermal chamber, Roxul, an fiberglass insulations....again this is my opinion on but to troubleshoot on the internet if it is cold,,, are you worried about a spa freezing in a short amount of time....just a question...
  20. masanori, did he check the solenoids. did he manually open them to see if they worked, I had one once were i had to open them, it was like i was bleeding the air out once i did that they all worked...
  21. the water would probably be fine, but i prefer our customers to fill the day of, while the electrician is there, since it ususally does not take that long to fill..thats my preference
