    Maybe this will help.

Spa manufacturers buy jets from other manufacturers, and frequently change both type and brand.

Just wanted to let you know, this did help tremendously. Luckily they are somewhat common CMP jets and I found most in stock at the store in London, ON and they sent them over right away. Swapped and boy does that make a difference! Appreciate the help.

  2. Hello,

I am looking for a list of parts and their parts number for the Jacuzzi J-210 specifically. I am having a hard time specifically with jet. I have a lot broken and need replacement. Based on my searches so far I have to measure each and it seems there are multiple options. Is there an easier way to tackle this? I would like to just replace them all so I was looking for a list of how many of each size I have and corresponding parts numbers to just search and order.

    Thanks

  3. Hi all,

Looking for some help on items to use to create as much as a mouse free hot tub as I can.

We took ownership of this hot tub about 3 months ago, after some initial wiring issues, I got everything solved and it's been running flawless now. I cleaned out the motor/control board area as there were some items in there to deter mice, but they have since deteriorated (mouse poison in tin bowls, steel wool, and some dryer sheets).

From my research so far, I've cleaned out all the poop, nibbles from the tubs foam and put in a more potent poison for now (brother in law is a farmer, so I get access to a bit better stuff there). I would like to spray more foam in there and I am wondering if I can just use general 'Great Stuff' or do I need to use something more heat resistant? Fire rated? Next I want to use peppermint oil - does anyone have any experience with this working, how long it lasts or anything? I can't find any info other then it's a good idea to deter them.

I believe they are coming in through the access panel, so I going to look at sealing that a lot better as well.

    Any help is much appreciated!

    Excellent.

The reason I have recommended pooland HTD is that they seem to have a good supply of parts during this current covid situation...even better than my wholesaler lately. They are in London so not to far from you.  I am located just West of Milton.

That is definitely a key contributor right now - it does show a lot of out of stock for a lot of things I've browsed through. If there is a physical store in London, that would work as well as we travel there a couple times a year for sure. Coincidentally, next weekend for some Columbia outlet fun during a pandemic.

Temp sensor top left of page 126 and Hi limit sensors top left and right of page 124. Can't tell from your photos if you have a heater high limit disc sensor. Look along the bottom in between the 2 black heater wire connections. Again check all wires for chew marks. To release the folded wire connections just need to use a paperclip to depress the clip and it should slide out.

    Where are you located?

Jacuzzi Ontario (hottubstore) can be a little expensive and difficult to deal with sometimes. I recommend poolandhottubdepot.com if you are in Ont.

    Stainless steel wool...dollar store

I'm just outside of Stratford, Ont. I have been supporting a local store in town who took care of my pool prior to my ownership as much as I can - they actually have had decent prices as well which is good. Not sure on ordering parts though.

hot tub store is a bit cheaper then the one you quoted - but service is everything and if they are better I will look at trying them out. I did remove a good amount of steel wool from the bottom of the tub casing that was rotted - so I will be replacing that.

Tug on each wire a bit and see if there is any play. Animal activity? They love to chew wire and I can see mouse droppings inside the pack. It's mind boggling how they get in there sometimes. Follow the sensor wires as far as you can and look for bite marks. Likely you will need to replace the sensor set if nothing else is apparent

Yes lots of mouse droppings. I've cleaned most out, and the bugger(s) have devoured about 3 packs of poison now - so I need to find something else to block their entrance. The wires all seem in good shape however.

I found this site for parts from Jacuzzi themselves. Seems like decent prices as I was looking to replace some of the jets that pop out upon start up.

However, it looks like I may have a different sensor connection type as neither one of those match what I have? Unless I need to take the curled fingers out of the connector itself?

Perhaps one of the wire clips that holds the wire into the connector that you connect to the board is loose and getting pushed back a bit when connected and not making good contact...or one of the sensors is bad. @RDspaguyrecommends replacing them both if needed.

I was thinking a loose connection as well. Unless the sensor goes when it gets 'too hot' example, when the cover is on?

Upper right side of board is a connector with 2 sets of black and white wires. These are your sensors. Turn off power and pull the connector off the pins and take an ohm reading on each set with your tester set to 20k ohms. It is a PITA to get your sensor leads on the wires, as you must contact the wires on the right side of the connector, and there isn't much space between. They should be within a few hundred ohms of each other. Post results.

In the center of the board is a white plug with 4 wires. Check voltage on the two yellow wires with breaker on. Post results.

So I spent the lunch sitting there and has you said, it's a big pain in the you know what. I wasn't getting consistent readings - it would spike to 13.xx but then drop to 0 on both sides, so they seemed only consistent in that sense. I plugged it back in and turned the breakers back on to find the panel reading temp!

It now shows 104 and I set the max temp to 100 to see what it does but it seems all it needed was the unplug and re-plug back in. Not sure if this will be a problem in the future or it says the sensor is going and I should look at replacing that.

Now to figure out chemicals on this thing so we can use it. Thanks again for your help, I will report back here if anything stops working.

    Do you have a multimeter?

Post a pic of the equipment bay, circuit board, and wiring diagram on the box cover.

I do have one. Not a lot of experience using one but if I’m told what to do I can get readings haha.

Here are the three pics requested.

I went to the local jacuzzi store tonight and they had no clue. They thought maybe the board was a non jacuzzi brand but it was apparently replaced by them a couple years ago. He didn’t look into it to confirm though.

They thought it might be a reset needed for the UV system. However I just tried the steps and the code above did not go away or change whatsoever.

At 108 degrees I would say that it has gone into a watchdog mode. 108 is likely the hi limit and once it hits 108 it shuts of the spa functions. I have not seen that "code" before but I would leave the cover open and or add some cold water to bring the temp down to 100 see if the spa responds as normal. If it does then we can address why the spa is going over 104

The only thing odd about this was that it was throwing this 'code' before the temp got to that point.

So no one has confirmed this. But if it goes into watchdog mode, doesn't that mean the jets, lights, any functions shouldn't work and it should shut down the whole thing? It doesn't do this and functions still without any ability to change temp, or show anything on the panel.

Also, I had the breaker turned off for over a day and tried it again when the water was cooler - but the same code appeared.

If it is a hi limit issue - what am I looking to replace or look at to confirm?

  11. Hi all,

New to pool/hot tub ownership as we just bought a home with them. The pool was closed for the season just before our move in, but the hot tub wasn't as we wanted to use it. The previously owner stated it was not filled up as he was injured and not able to use it, but that it works. He also mentioned that the circuit board was replaced in the last couple years (he only owned the home since Sept 2017).

So, I purchased a filter for it and got some flush agent and filled it up. First problem I had was the breaker tripping. However, I believe this was normal since it's been off for a while and it does it as a test possibly when turning back on. The next morning I switched the breakers on and the tub showed 'ICE' and '53'. About 5 minutes later it showed '55' so I knew it was heating up. Great!... I then added the flush agent, it foamed through the system. Right when it went through a couple cycles, I noticed the code on the panel changed to the attached image. The jets work, the water feels warm (thermometer showed around 108 at the most, with the cover on) and nothing seems out of order but I cannot seem to function anything, it just stays on this 'code'. I am at a loss, and I've taken this image and symptoms to my local stores and they are confused as well. So I am wondering if anyone has ever seen this, and what it means before I bite the bullet at call a tech.

    Thanks
