No! Make sure it's unplugged completely before you take anything apart or press anything inside. There should be guides posted further back in this thread how to take it all apart etc

Mine aren't switches as such or if they are then just cheap! Just press them in so they make contact. They don't click or do anything special. As far as I was aware they didn't stay in place either but it worked when I switched it all back on again. Hope it helps

Don't forget mine is a V2 model

Have a look at my Update post above. That replacement impeller has been working great for the V2 hopefully it will fit yours

I cant see the ports very clearly but I know on mine they didn't come off easily and I had to use a wrench/grippers to twist them off but I'd try that at your own risk

UPDATE 24/1/21 Sorry to report that my FLUVAL Impellor disintegrated and failed. It must have happened over night because in the morning there was the E5 code and the water was a lot hotter than normal. I had almost decided to scrap the whole tub as the E5 code should mean a return to CS for them to fix but it turned out to be a VERY easy fix!!! NEW IMPELLOR - https://www.amazon.co.uk/RDEXP-Magnetic-Impeller-Submersible-Replacement/dp/B01E6V649Y/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=16mm+magnetic+impeller&qid=1603265200&sr=8-2 Working well and comes with a stainless steel shaft!! E5 CODE ERROR FIX!!! Please note I am no technician and you do this at your own risk. I tried it because I had nothing left to lose with this crappy tub!! 2 thermal reset buttons inside the PCU pressed! FIXED! No sending back to CS with their ridiculous customer services and extortionate fees!

The tubes that come out of the side can be tight just be careful if you have to use some force

I have had the Fluval impellor and shaft running for well over a few months now without issue and it is still quiet. Filter inspection and changing is done regularly. No issues here 🙂

Here you can see the Fluval 304/5 on the left hand side compared to the Canadian Spa impellor on the right with the only real difference in size is the blades. The stainless steel shaft I purchased from eBay sadly was too tight in the Fluval not allowing it to spin freely perhaps the bushes could be drilled to 3mm as per the stainless steel but for now I have a spare Fluval ceramic shaft which fits everything. I've put everything back together and confirm for a few hours at least that everything is nice and quiet and seems to be pumping ok but possibly at a reduced rate but I dont think the original pumps are that great anyway. Hope it helps someone else out

Not really lol it's only because I found this thread I thought I'd give it a go myself. I've ordered a Fluval 304/5 from Amazon to see if it will work. I'll try and post a picture of them both side by side on here when I swop them

I got a marine grade stainless steel shaft from eBay. Very helpful seller https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124286886279 He cut me one 3mm x 75mm and it's seemed to work.great!

Hi do you have a link to the impeller you used please ? I got a stainless steel shaft for a few quid from a really helpful guy on eBay but he couldn't help with the impeller one of the bushes is worn quite badly though so although it's quieter it's still noisy
