This tub was literally built 3 days ago and delivered from local factory.

So I guess I will skip Ahh-Some, even that I have some for my jacuzzi tub

I'm not hot tub filtration pro... But I know filtration solution, More media usually equals better filtration* not knowing specs on bot its speculation.

And then you can look at different media types for filter to improve filtration

Hi Guys,

I just filled my tub for the first time. (  I filled via filter hole, alternated two holes )

I turned the power on, the tub was initializing, I turned both pumps on high during initialization. Seems like all went well. - hope I did it all ok 

Should I add some chlorine or aquafinesse right away?

What filter cycles should I set, Tub is equipped with Ozone/UV (Aquanova )

Funny....yes...Friday thing exact same thing I thought.

So they have gasket ( looks mangled ) and silicone at the back, but still leaks.

Had a hot tub delivered, electrician completed hookup... 

 

What are my next steps ... Fill with water?

Remove filters and feed water in filter hole ?

I see two slice valves ... Do I do anything with them ?

I have whole house water filter ... Do I bypass and feel chlorinated or non chlorinated water ? Assuming I will be adding chlorine it doesn't matter ?

 

It's a Balboa based system

Should I rust proof frame lol ?

Should I add some extra insulation intially ?just buy roxul and pack it or wrap in foil ?

 

I prefer roxul over mice nests in foam

I will start building frame and prep site, I think I will go more extreme and take out like 5 inches compact crush, put frame on this and then I will put the screening as you suggested 

It's mainly because I already have run crush stone from another project

Just so I understand

 

Remove 6 inches

Put 2 inches of 3/4 gravel > compact ?

Then place the 90x90 4x4 frame with some cross support in the middle ?

And then fill the rest with gravel and compact over frame ?

 

Or digg 6 inches compact compact and then 4 inches frame and fill and compact ?

Sorry don't want to end up with cracked tub haha 😅

Hi Guys,

I been browsing this forum and I seen a lot of smart people...

I purchased Sunrisespa ... 7 person 90x90

I don't want to pure concrete, is gravel bed an option ?

My only concern is that I have little slope currently ( its kinda like a little ditch where water runs down to the drain ) its couple inches off nothing major .. 

Remove 6 inches of soil, use ground contact rated 4x4 ... use gravel with gas compactor compact as much as possible.

Warranty says to no put on gravel but I will talk with them... they say to use tiles, pavers .

 

I'm in Ontario so frost is a thing

 

Any tips ?
