Heaterh Temperature Misreading

Hello every body, I had the same problem on a heater it was showing temp. 126 but the water temp was 81 degrees and set temp was 94 degrees, the heater was not turning "ON" I replaced the thermistor and started working again, it took me no more than 10min.
