Bought used spa 4 years old used ahh-some and did the flush after. Some bio but not heavy. used for 2 months figuring out water chem. Chlorine dropped while we were away for 4 days and was very cloudy. used ahh-some again and did water flush after some bio but not heavy. used for a week and water chem looks pretty good. Chlorine 2.5 Shocked with non chlorine shock and chlorine jumps to 10. have to wait two days for level to drop below 5. Is this normal or a sign of something else? Master spa 6.2 320 gal 94 deg Chlorine may have dropped below for a day while I was figuring everything out. ph 7.3 TA 55 CYA 20 CH 210 CSI .42 Borate 21 I think after my first fill up the fc jumped high some time also. use Taylor test kit. thanks for any help. some times you can use compressed air blowing backwards to clean the check valve out. Also there is a small filter where the air enters the generator and it maybe stopped up. I removed the fabric inside the filter and used a small amount of cotton from wife’s cotton ball to replace the fabric in the filter. There should be loops in the hose and and mount the generator as high up as you can get it with the filter pointing up, this will help prevent issue with the check valve and filter. You can smell the tiny bubble and there is unique smell that should tell you that it is actually producing ozone. I am not an expert but this is what I have learned.
