  1. Try replacing the bromine in your spa with a NATURE2 spa mineral stick. We maintain a lot of Spas and when people have sensitive skin this is what we recommend. Also want to always make sure your pH levels are within range before entering the spa on each use. Removing bromine from the system will prevent a lot of pH bounce. Hope this helps
  2. If you have a volt meter you will want to check for voltage at the back of the pump. Pressing the temperature down arrow one time should reset voltage to the circulation pump on that model. If there is voltage to the pump and it is not working or if it is very very hot to the touch, you would want to start with replacing the circulation pump. Hope this helps! 3. Sundance spas, like many, have protective features will disable the pumps, heaters, etc when there is no water in the spa. The radio and lights may still work, however none of your other components should work. Remember to refill your sundance spa through the filter hole to keep from getting any air locks in the pumps. Your spa should work just fine once filled and running again. Hope this helps!
  4. If pump 2 is coming on when plugged into the pump 1 slot, then your fuses aren't the issue. Check for voltage at the back of the spa pump on pump 1 when it is plugged in, this will elimintate the wiring for pump 1 from the equation. If you have a solid 240v where the wire meets the pump, you either have a bad capacitor or a bad motor on that pump. It's easiest to just replace the pump entirely vs changing out the motor on the pump as the shaft could have oxidized to the pump impeller, making it difficult to remove without breaking. 5. Try not to let the water level in the spa get low. On those Sundance models if the sideways cartridge is exposed to the water surface you could suck in air there, causing an intermittent flo error. If the filter hasn't been replaced in the last 12 months, also consider changing it to help with the flow. When refilling the spa, stick your garden hose into the filter hole to ensure you fill the spa from the inside-out, eliminating chance of an airlock in your pumps. Hope this helps! 6. Normally, spa pumps will come equipped with a rubber mounting plate on the bottom of the pump. You could cut a piece of rubber to fit beneath the motor mounting plate and that should reduce the vibrations tremendously. Just dont use anything bigger than approximately 1/4" as your plumbing inlet and outlet may not allow for much wiggle room. Hope this helps! 7. Usually just a clog or bad check valve on the spa return line specifically. Make sure all valves have good seals and that the valve actuators are still opening and closing entirely. If you have a constant spillway, its usually the check valve on that line specifically. Hope this helps! Trey Backyard Pool & Spa Gastonia, NC 28056
  8. Most pool professionals could remove the drain cover and blow out the drain line using an air compressor. Just have to be careful, use a regulator to control exactly how much air pressure you are pushing the debris out with. If you do this and continue to have the same problem, as long as the pool isn't leaking, you just have a bad initial pool plumbing installation. You may try to upsize the pump to a greater horsepower if you feel you need the additional suction from the drains, however keep in mind when changing pump size, you have to match the flow rates to the filter and pipe size / number of pipes in your pool system.
