  1. Hot Spring Official and dblee50, Thank you both for your input, insight, and guidance. Replacing the Hot Springs Control Panel Head 73225, has fixed the problem and has been working smoothly for last couple months. Easy replacement problem solved. Thank you!
  2. I have replaced both Thermistors (item # 39204/39205) that screw into the heater as stated, which did not change the behavior at all. To be clear, when you say replace the "control panel" you are referring to the electronics behind the temperature display, and jet control panel (item #73225) Or are you referring to the motherboard (item # 77087)? Thank you. Hotsprings (Watkins) Envoy, Model: KK, Serial KK4F1715
  3. So specifically for my tub and its issue, if anybody has any thoughts/input. It is a Hotsprings (Watkins) Envoy, Model: KK, Serial KK4F1715 Mine works beautifully, until it reaches temp. Then it cycles on-off (audibly you can hear the relays on the powerboard open-closing), similar to dblee50 above cycling on-off every 1-20s, with most 2-3s. I have replaced the filters, rotate and clean regularly. I can also take out, and still cycles. I have replaced the circulation pump. I have also replaced both thermistors. The repeated cycling ultimately will wear out the mechanical relays on the power board about every 6 months. While the tub is coming up to temperature, works fine, only once it reaches temperature does the repeated cycling occur. So for the interim, I lower the set point when away. Then when I want to use, I raise to where I want it, letting it come up to temperature. Once there, again, lowering to prevent repeated cycling.
  4. Thank you dblee50. Will look into that option. I had debated the main logic board, as I assumed that is what is sending the signal to turn on/off. It would be nice to be able to set the range between the on-off heat cycle.
  5. Having exactly the same problem, any resolution? On the pressure switch theory, why would the pressure switch cause the power relays to cycle on-off, only after it reaches the set temperature? Mine works beautifully, until it reaches temp. Then it cycles on-off, similar to above 1-20s between on-off, with most 2-3s. I have replaced the filters, rotate and clean regularly. I can also take out, and still cycles. I have replaced the circulation pump. I have also replaced both thermistors. The repeated cycling ultimately will wear out the mechanical relays on the power board about every 6 months. Thoughts?
  6. Barry C - Did you ever figure this out, as I am having a very similar condition? Tub working fine, drained water and refilled down grey filter tube. Turned circuit breaker back on, display shows briefly then red flashing light. Circulation pump working (ripples in water and line into filter bay shooting water). Just to be sure no air lock, followed purge procedure by disconnecting outlet allowed water to flow through pump. Red flashing light on main control panel, can't run clean, main jets, no display, lights don't work. It was a nice day above freezing today when I decided to drain/refill, now it is 17 deg F, so would like to get this diagnosed and looking for any insight you may have.
  7. Thanks for the idea, but still flashing after quick breaker off-on-off-on. Looks like I will order a new relay board today, then follow through with warranty on current. Hopefully the company I bought it through will credit my account upon return and analysis, if the board if faulty. I don't think I can, nor do I want to wait for the whole RMA process of sending back, fix, then send back out. The temperatures are dropping and not spending much timer above freezing these days in Michigan. Any other ideas or analysis ideas welcome, thanks.
  8. I have a Hot Springs Envoy, with an IQ2020 Spa Control. Early this year (late April) I replaced the Heater relay board with the updated 77119 version. The tub has been working fine for the last 6 months, but recently has stopped heating. The external control panel red light is solid, and the green will illuminate if I lower the set temperature below the actual water temperature. Inside the control panel on the main logic board, both the green (LIM OK) and red (HTR ON) lights are solid and illuminated. On the relay board I am getting 240V from the breaker, however am not getting 240V to the heating element. I have disconnected the heating element and have 15ohms resistance across the black/white wires, so I believe the actual heater should be ok. On the newer 77119 heater relay circuit board there are two small lights one red and one green, located at the very top/center of the board. The green is lit solid, and the red is flashing very rapidly. I have tried pulling power from the unit at the breaker, waiting an hour, and the red blinking flashing light begins to flash immediately upon restoration of the power. I removed the heater relay circuit board, and there are no signs of damage or shorts (original board that was replaced with this new board, after the relays shorted resulting in lots of black soot and obviously some arching). Does anyone have any idea what the rapid flashing red light on the heater relay circuit board would indicate? Is there a reset and/or check that can be measured to diagnose root cause? The board is still under warranty, but the company's only recourse was to send the board in for analysis, they would forward to manufacturer, then if covered under warranty they would send replacement. All said, that was going to take greater than two weeks, meanwhile the temperatures continue to drop in Michigan. Thanks for any guidance and/or wisdom
