  1. Is here: http://www.hotspring.com/onlinebrochure/
  2. A travel fee is normal and reasonable. However $200.00 is extreme.
  3. I think the difference between the '08 and '09 prices might not be enough. However, you shouldn't expect $1500 savings. Question really is what are you comfortable paying. Your question about starting @ $8,000 is really a question about haggling tactics not about the price or value of the tub. For that, every dealer and every buyer is different. Personally, I would think you were not serious if you offered me $1,100 less than what I was asking.
  4. The best thing about them is most dealers who sell them will take them back in trade when you upgrade. Not sure of the conversion rate. But I would think you could get something more substantial for that price.
  5. How old are your filters? What is your cleaning program?
  6. For the ozone to be effective, the circ pump has to run 24 x 7.
  7. Those Hot Spring prices are really low. In most parts of the country you would be paying $1000-$2000 more. Maybe because you are near the factory? I would be all over that Vista. Seems like HS stereos are working better now too.
  8. We like to think of Hot spring as a Honda. Best value for your Dollar.
  9. Most likely clogged circ pump filter. Go to http://www.hotspring.com/Hot_Tub_Customers...e-delivery.html for owner's manual with troubleshooting guide.
  10. If you are the original owner, spa is within warranty period. Call your dealer.
  11. I wet tested both lines....Caldera Geneva and Cantabria..Hotsprings Vista and Aria/Envoy! Like both tubs...Caldera may be a bit better for my girlfriend b/c she is on the small side! Is the energy efficiency any different? Caldera seems to have a better price point as well! Hot Spring is going to be more energy efficient. Denser foam. Caldera has the entire front devoted to equipment, therefore little foam on one side. I believe Caldera is still using larger circ pump.
  12. Same price as above and we are a dealer with brick and mortar. Call 916 373 9699. Mention online forum price.
  13. Ozone is standard. Factory installed. Our price for Vanguard is in that neighborhood. (We are slightly less, but we are in CA).
  14. If the salesman presents the spa as a $12,000 spa for $6,000, or any other such nonsense, don't fall for it.
  15. Energy test referred to was comparing apples to oranges. They made the Hot Spring operate in a way it is not designed to. No need to ever turn jet pumps on when not in use. Regarding leaks on foam filled vs. non foamed spas. Foam filling supports the plumbing. Therefore less likely to leak.
  16. Different foaming processes. Different jets. Different shell materials. Wet test.
  17. You almost answered the question yourself. If it is $1500 more, there is more value. There are so many differences can't begin to list them here. Don't want to shill anyway. Visit your Hot Spring dealer. Listen with an open mind. If you choose to stick with the way you are leaning, I am sure you will be happy with it. Sounds like they are a good local dealer, which is half the battle. By the way, the CEC values are self reported. Tell me, scientifically, how air gives a higher R value than foam?
  18. Within reason, the number of jets is irrelevant. Variety and placement are far more important. Remember, more jets means more horsepower which means higher electric bills.
  19. If I understand what I read I have a few comments: 1. Fix A leak is a good inexpensive sometimes permanent fix. 2. Letting it drain to a fitting is a good idea. 3. If you have access to the side it is leaking from, assuming it is on the side and not the bottom, why would you have to jack it up???
  20. This makes no sense. If your cover is less than 2 years old, and has not been abused, and the core is waterlogged, it is covered under warranty. Period. It is manufacturer's warranty, not dealer's. So, if Watkins told you it is covered, it is covered. However, it is a parts warranty only. You are responsible for removing and replacing and getting original to dealer. they are responsible for ordering the core for you.
  21. Serial number is different from what I am familiar with. Is this an export tub to canada or Europe? I Believe it is a USA Made Spa, Just purchased it here in the USA (Missouri 30 Miles South of St Louis to be Specific). I think it May be a 1998 or 1999. FYI it Has the Digital Control Panel and IQ2000 Controller, and older Fiber optic Based Topside Controls. Please click on the Links below to See Pics of the SN Label and Grandee SPA. GRANDEE SN LABEL? Picture of Grandee SPA. What Year is it? Any Help Greatly Appreciated! Kevin Looks like a 98 or 99 with the wood sides. I've never seen a label like that on a tub...maybe it was a warranty replacement for a defective tub. EMS in a serial number means it is a factory refurbished spa that was originally sold with no warranty. I believe it stood for EMployee Spa. They were originally sold only to employees.
