  1. There website actually seems to be http://www.rockymtnspas.com/
  2. Then please explain to me your statements about 5 years of Jacuzzi /Sundance posting a loss and being almost bankrupt when they were being acquired. Apollo Management sure thought they were worth 1.25 billion when they acquired them. So the dealer near you closed and you generalize that to the whole world? A quick search showed a dealer about 24 miles away from downtown Denver. The closest dealer to me is 6.7 miles. What does that prove? Absolutly nothing. How many dealers have dropped the Sundance line? Give me some numbers. What trouble are they in? They have seemed to make 75.1 million dollars in the past five years when you said they had been loosing money for the last five years. Are you implying that most large corporations are breaking the law and the whole stockmarket is based on made up performance numbers? Has Jacuzzi Brands filed inaccurate information with the SEC? Please show us the proof. If you have proof there would be a major lawsuit from the stock holders and legal action from the SEC. Apollo Management, L.P. went through the books with a fine-tooth comb before closing the deal. I'm sure they found nothing wrong with the books or the deal would have not gone through. Let's also look at the stock price for the last five years before the were acquired. It seems some people thought they were a good investment. This "managment" group, Apollo Management L.P., is a private equity L.P. firm with major holdings including GE Advanced Materials, Harrah's Entertainment Inc., Smart & Final Inc., Linens 'n Things, AMC Entertainment, ... I think they know what they are doing when they invest in a company.
  3. Please tell me where you got this misinformation. The SEC filing from September 2006 shows a profit of $40,400,000($0.52/share), 2005 a loss of $5,600,000 ($0.07/share), 2004 a profit of $28,400,000($0.37/share), 2003 a loss of $29,000,000 ($0.29/share), and 2002 a profit of $40,900,000 ($0.40/share). As for being almost bankrupt before they were acquired by Apollo Management. The year ending September 30, 2006: Cash and cash equivalents: $147.2 Working capital: $351.7 Total assets: $1253.7 Total debt: $403.3 Stockholders' equity: $345.5
  4. If you have a problem and you did not pull a proper permit insurance companies can choose not to cover the damage.
  5. Did you have to teach your dog to smoke or did she already have the habit when you got her? Yeah, she is a jack russell...they are pretty smart dogs....so its just my dumb ass that smokes.. So you have a donkey also?
  6. Remember that is the empty weight. It will be over 4000 lbs when full.
  7. Absolutly nothing. What are there manufacturing cost compared to 1988?
  8. What is he not happy with? Please show us some statements or some sort of proof from creator to back up this statement.
  9. I guess you don't know RHtubs like I do. What is wrong with rhtubs?
  10. The Chelsee is just the renamed Bahia with a few small changes. The Chelsee has a waterfall, slightly different jet configuration, optional stereo, and LED lighting.
  11. What is he not happy with? Please show us some statements or some sort of proof from creator to back up this statement.
  12. How did adding what is estentially a resonance chamber below the speakers effect the sound?
  13. I feel your pain. I need to upgrade my service from the mains to my subpanel. The run is 180'. I will need to run three #3 and one #6. I'm looking at $1480 in wire cost alone.
  14. That would be overkill unless you already have a spool of #4 sitting around. Over a 30 foot run at 240V/50A you would only have a 0.9 volt drop. #6 would still only give you a 1.4 volt drop. #6 THHN is rated at 75A
  15. The problem with comparing the motor GPM and the number of jets is the plumbing. A poorly plumbed spa can have a larger pump but still deliver less to the jets.
  16. To elaborate a little bit on alexmon comment... The number of jets a spa has is almost meaningless. It is more about the proper placement of the jets (where they hit you), the type of jets, and the proper amount of presure for the jets. I have wet tested spas with half as many jets that felt much better. The only thing I can say is wet test, then wet test, and then wet test some more.
  17. Do you already have the concrete pad or are you pouring a new pad? If you already have the pad you would have to use a concrete saw and cut out a section to run the feed under the pad and the pad will be patched. It is sometimes (rarely) possible to bore a hole under a pad. If you have not pored the pad you will just dig a trench and run the conduit. If you do not want to cut and patch the concrete pad in some areas you can run rigid conduit that is properly strapped down. Local electrical code would need to be checked. Depending on your spa you may need a disconnect secondary box visible and accessable between 5 and 15 feet of the spa. So the conduit would run to the disconnect box and then your spa would be wired to the disconnect.
  18. I am looking at a Sundance Chelsee and was wondering what a good price was for the unit. I have not tried to negotiate yet and just have an initial quote for it. The dealer has been in business for 10+ years and has their own service department. They are quoting about $7050 before taxes for the Chelsee which includes 250 mg ozone unit, steps, cover, lifter, chemicals, delivery and setup. Also, should I be using the 50 mg or the 250 mg ozone unit for this spa (365 US gal)?
