  1. You can wrap your spa with thick blackets if its not raining.you can get a tarp and make a tent for the spa and put a non electric heater in it.you only need to raise the temp to 40.
  2. my 4k heater in the crown will keep up for awhile in the zero times.good luck
  3. As of yesterday they are trying to find a 4.5 that will fit the unit. Another drawback is that with the upgrades I currently have If I run the 2 main pumps (4hp each) and the Bubble seat (1hp) and the Symphonic Wave Seat (3hp) it turns the current heater off due to lack of power. My first spa was like that with the heater.is it that much of a problem in Florida?? here you can be in the spa when its zero out. that will cool a spa down fast lolol
  4. It doesn't matter even if they refuse I can sue them for misrepresenting the product. They will take it back and give me a refund or I will take them to court. Florida law has several provisions for consumer protection. See if they will or can put the 4.5 in it.
  5. Arctic has the best way to Tp insulate a spa barr none.
  6. 30 to 40 bucks is not bad in new hampshire. i have found with the more expensive more insulated tubs that running all the pumps is expensive.
  7. Is this all you do is knock what others have.all i know is my crown is deeper then the 10,000 tub i was in last year.its simple to work on also. All I did was offer balance to this thread. I did not "knock" any tub. I stated what I know to be true. ????? Like Dave in NH said, I don't like the idea of having to stuff insualtion into the cabinet (esp household batting. That's a BAD idea). However, as I said, MY nordic was an energy hog, and several folks on this thread who owns one also agreed. the fact is, Nordic is not on the top of the list when it comes to energy efficeincy. If that offends you, then so be it. Go have another drink Drewstar.the new tubs from the top makers have the same jets as my 5 year old crown.now theres something to think anout. Another drink? WTF? From the tone of your replys, you seem to already have had a few. I'm not sure I follow what you. Who was talking about jets???? You seemed upset because I pointed out Nordic was not very energy efficent. If you want to talk rationaly, great. If not, please pick your fights with someone else. Ive seen your Pm's to other members when you have had toooooooo many.are they sick of you on the other forum
  8. Ok...just 1 month shy of 2 years with the Nordic Crown XL and I'm happy to report it still works and looks as good as first day. No service issues at all since we got it, water maintenance is a breeze and it maintains the set temp perfectly. Couldn't be more satisfied with the purchase and I'd recommend one to anyone looking for a round tub. The only downside is that it does use a bit more energy than I'd like but I haven't added any insulation to the cabinet despite plans to do so. For the price we paid and the enjoyment we get out of it, I've been willing to deal with the few extra $ it costs to run it. Same here Hello You have posted that you were having a problem with getting the temperature above 100 degrees. Has that been corrected? What was the problem? Did you ever upgrade the cover? Has that made any difference for you? You once said you were ordering a better cover. Did you ever get the insulation blanket that you spoke about? If so, can you tell me where you purchased these from (And would you recommend them to others?) Do they work well? Are you still wrapping sleeping bags around the tub to keep it warm? Thank you. Heater stopped working after 5 years of 24/7 at 104 degrees.new cover is great.no insulation wrap. I only wrapped my spa when i first got it. there was a bad connetion on the heater and i wanted extra time if the heater stopped working in the winter.that never happened.

If you insulate the cabinet, please let me know what you did and how it worked. I also have the same tub and we love it, but the cabinet is empty and could easily be insulated. I am considering blowing some in or something. It would be real easy to insulate if nordic put more removable sides on the crown.you will need to lift the shell up and out to insulate it properly.

  13. My crown is only able to go to 100 degrees not the 104 i set it for.what could be wrong??? any ideas??? Thanks 104
  14. Well, it works ok with two people but i just dont trust it, unless i am drinking water, one accident and i will be draining the tub. Too far away from my deep seat anyway. I like to keep my drink resting just outside the tub when not in use Thanks Dave I was about to order one.we are the only ones who use the spa and i keep my drink there by the filter. I will look into it before i order one. Hows the family and the crown doing?? 104 Hard to believe i have had it more than a year already, getting ready for my favorite tubbing season. By the way how did your new cover work out? I found a temporary solution to stop the drink holder from floating away. I took off the clip farthest from the skimmer opening and installed a stainless plate arm of about 2 inches screwing it to the holder as well. Awkward but you can lift it up and foward to get to the skimmer and the arm keeps it mostly in place from floating away. PFamily Sweet any pics???
  15. in the pic of the tub you bought----it says Sirius----its a Jenson Marine radio.
  16. I would urge you to wet test before you put down a deposit. Once our Rendezvous is up and running I will provide a report of our initial impressions. Pictures would be really nice. Good luck Capt Bob.Captain Did you get the satalite radio option??
  17. Dave, Is the 24/7 pump available for after purchase? Is it slow and quiet for calm while in the tub? Last, is it simple to install or must I leave that to Nordic? PFamily Email rose at nordicspas.com.she is great to deal with.
  18. Its been 5 years and still going great.
  19. Hard to believe i have had it more than a year already, getting ready for my favorite tubbing season. By the way how did your new cover work out? New cover so far is great.I do belive its worth the extra.just make sure when you measure it you dont include the rise to the top.it adds an extra inch. I think we are going on are 6th year with are crown.other then a defective heater at the begining it has been trouble free. it has been moved 5 times and still no problems. Your correct about the cold coming bring it on
