If you can stick your finger in the foam then its not going to give the best RValue

color will not tell me what density the foam is. But if you can stick your finger in the foam then I would say its lower then 2 lb So the foam will not offer great insulation value. most spa manufactures will use 2 lb

Wes.. does the foam crumble in your hands? If so then you have a leak somewhere. The standard 2.0 sprayfoam it is harn to put your finger into. As reguards to your cabinet If it is urethane foam it will offer 2.2R value. Not bad. They use 8.0 pcf foam on the cabinets. FYI I develop urethane foams for 25 yrs. I dont think the insulation on your tub is open cell. open cell foam translates to 0.5 density with R value around 3 per inch. Most tubs will use 2.0 density for R value 7.5 per inch. My guess is if the foam feels soft you might have a small leak and the chemicals are eating the cell structure.post some pics please

Do check with the local building code. You still might need a permit. Not using concrete pad does not mean you wont need a permit.

Yes it will have expansion joints

We are in the prep stages right now with our coping and patio. We are using poured aggregate (which will look like your deck) We choose not to have expansion joints on the coping. What my contractor tells me they will put vapor barrier between the cantilever and the top of the pool. NO MOTAR. Then they will pour 4" of concrete. They claim that if the ground moves it will lift the cantilever so the deck does not crack. I did see a job where they did this. The patio was 7 yrs old still looks great. I really like the look with the deck going right up to the pool. They will pour the concrete this fri. Will take some pics

I would not use your well.20k gallons is alot of water. If you burn out your well pump it will cost you more then getting some water del. In NY it cost $270 for 7000 gal tank truck. In your case you could get 2 tank trucks then topp of with your well. FYI My neighbor had to replace his well pump and it cost $2000 dollars.

I need some advice. My gunite pool was sprayed last fall and we are getting ready to finish the surface. The plaster was in my price but we are looking into diamond brite or pepple tec. Pepple is around 8000 dollars and diamond brite is 2500 dollars. From what I read pepple will last alot longer and keeping water chemistry in check. I would like to hear your advice.

I would like to start off by saying thank you to SpaGuy and Dennis from Dimension 1 for all of their help. To recap, pump 2 initially seemed to be broken. After D1 talked me through the entire process, he found that it was just a wire that was not plugged into the circuit board. In regards to the underwater switches, everything is working perfectly. The tub is 100% in working order. There were no equipment issues whatsoever. Dennis from tech support was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He was determined to fix my spa and that is what he did within 15 minutes over the phone! My wife and I are now very happy to use our gorgeous spa! Pics to follow... -George

I was told that if you use soft soak and if it does not work for you then you have to do water change. Can not just add bromine or Cl. If you use bromine You can switch to clorine with out water change. Bromine is mild on the skin.

Yes volcanic jet is working but not the seat.The seat only worked when the tech opened the solenoids. But they shut the jets down a few sec later. I did talked to Skip at D1

Yes it is the same seat. The dynamic massage seat does not work.When my tech opened the solenoids the jets worked but after few sec the jets did not work

Currently i have a thread open about my pump2 and dynamic seat not working. My dealer came to look at it. Since then I discovered some new problems. Please remember my tub is new and was just hook up Wed march30. Here is a list of some other problems. The underwater switchs seem to be wired wrong. When you sit in the main captains seat and you use the underwater switch it turns on pump 3 Not pump 1 The underwater switch that should turn on pump 3 turns on pump 1. problem2 Iwatch does not turn off during the day. Also does not give a warning red light since pump2 is not working.Skirt lighting will not come on a dusk. I dont know how so many problems can exist on a new tub. I am told D1 test all tubs before they ship out. I called D1 to make sure it was new. That answer was yes. I feel sick over this. Thanks for leeting me vent George

yes he did manually open solenoids. The jets started to work in the one chair. Also the dynamic seat is not working also

I tryed the diverter it shut or opens volcano jet. The sequencer perimeter lights up but does not work. I tryed all the buttons masanori, Please call our Technical Support Deaprtment and talk with one of our Techs about this issue. This could be something simple like a blown fuse or the pump may have even came unplugged somehow. You can reach our technical support team at (800) 345-7727 M-F 7:30am to 4pm PST. We will be glad to assist you in getting the unit back up. well my dealer came today and he can not tell what is wrong. He needs to call D1 for advice. This does not sound good.
