  1. My son is trying to convince me to just drain ours (and quit fighting my fight), so he can have a bowl to skateboard in... Ummmm, NO
  2. Please bear with me as I'm still trying to figure the whole pool thing out, so I'm sure my lingo will be off I have a 15K gallon pool with a 48 SF DE filter. My pool seemed okay until it turned completely green in about 2 days. Backwashed, shocked, vacuumed, and backwashed again. Did okay for a few days then turned green again. I also discovered that I had no pressure in the returns and the polaris (on a booster pump) wasn't running either. Dismantled the filter, cleaned the grids (no tears), and recharged the filter. Shocked the pool. It's still green (but I can see the bottom, and it's more light green than the swamp it was), and I backwashed (and recharged) again. What I noticed today after sweeping and vacuuming again, is that the pressure in the return valves are low again, it seems to be spewing everything back at me (just like a grid tear-but I haven't noticed much DE), and now I've noticed bubbles from the return valves even after running for awhile. I did go open the valve at the top of the DE filter until I got water, but that didn't seem to help. I'm kind of at my wit's end at this point and seriously considering calling a pool specialist in the morning. I'm wondering if I maybe I have a leak in the plumbing somewhere. So any suggestions would be great. I'll deal with the chemical side (which is obviously out of wack as well, taking it in the morning for further testing- but my calcium and CYA are both high from all the shocking) after I get the pump/plumbing issue resolved. Kids are ready to swim here in Texas, but the pool is not ready yet.... TIA, Shelley
