  1. Agrees, most tubs are running about $1 per day in electric, depending on your rates of course.
  2. You can find most of their error codes from a gecko alliance web site, as I believe most of their controls are gecko
  3. Probably the wrong forum but you can use Rocky roller grommets and straps or Fher Guard strap kit, both which are good but I prefer FG.
  4. Its super easy to install after and most tubs are pre-plumbed to accept any brand of ozone, or injectors.
  5. That is not true at all, and you know that. Where did you pull that 28% number out of? And that is also not true about the spas not being tested. I have been to the factory, and all of the spas are tested before the leave they plant. Any other lies you want to tell us. The industry standard on leaks is 28-30% and the last I heard was the dealers receive 85$ to wet test the tubs on their own. I am sure some of the tubs are ok, I am just not a fan, from fixing many of them I would not choose an Arctic myself. Any sales person from most arctic dealers scare customers with the leak/removable skirt story. Every dealer has the same script and a fact is that I have personally repaired many of their tubs.
  6. That is a nice tub and I think if you can gain access to the fromt panel you generally should be ok.
  7. I would go with the Jacuzzi. There is a reason why Arctic spas have removable doors. Leak rate near 28%, and they don't wet test them at their factory!
  8. I have heard that Beachcomber bought the molds from the auction and were going to release an "economy" line, even though the molds are way nicer than the ones they currently use.
  9. Most top mount filters, pressure or skim are sealed to the tub with a large lock ring underneath. You may have to loosen this, clean the surface between the two, apply silicone to both sides and re tighten the lock ring. Good luck.
  10. Open your equipment area and check out the pumps for seal leaks. This is common especially if the water balance is out of whack. You can put your finger right behind the wet end to feel a leak but this much sounds like an obvious leak so it should be quite visable.
  11. This is a very nice tub. If you are into the lounger than this is one of the best. Enjoy!
  12. You have little choice here, drain the tub or heat pipes and use vise grips. This may still leak past the vise grips and possible damage pipe if you are careless.
  13. I am a service tech and have some colour blindness as well. I use and Accucheck digital reader and finf it quite accurate. I compare with our Bioguard lab in my store and it is fairly reliable and not too expensive, about 80 canadian
  14. The line I used to seel had spa frog in line and only the bromine cartridge is cleared for Canada, not the mineral slot. I have it on my tub and find it difficult to keep up and I am not using my tub as much as some people do. That being said, those customers with kids love it because their kids can't touch the floater, and we do sell a lot of them. Another bonus is that you have to buy from a dealer, not from a big box store.
