  1. Well I wet tested the Epic and loved it. I purchased it March 19 and now the wait until it's delivered. I thank everyone for telling me to wet test, wet test. It is the only way to go.
  2. I talked to HP & Marquis which is 125 miles west of me and also both stores 130 east of me and neither have a Grandee or Epic to wet test. When talking to HP west of me, the first thing he asked was how far away I lived and when I told him he stated he would be unable to help me afterwards and I didn't like his attitude on the phone, so I knew I won't go there. I am real confused. I only wet tested the Envoy and I floated it's not for me. My local Marquis is a VERY SMALL dealer and he has no water in any of his spas. The HP had only the Envoy with water. He stated the Grandee is just like the Envoy without the lounger. So at this point, I am leaning towards the Grandee, without wet test and can only go by how I felt in the Envoy minus the lounger. Hope I don't go wrong. But I would never buy the Marquis since I can't test any of their models. I know there are other good spas out there but I'm in the country and far away from them.
  3. Parrothead, Thanks, But the problem is I live in a small town and HS only had the Envoy for wet test and Marquis don't have any filled. Did you test the Epic or Grandee? What did you think? I could drive the miles to wet test the others but if I bought one what would the service be like living so far away after? Alice (Bear)
  4. I am new to this site and find all of the information helpful. I took everyone's advise and went to wet test today. I wet tested the HP Envoy and could not stay in the lounge seat, my husband could. We decided the Grandee would be a better tub. (no water in it to wet test). I also looked at Marquis but the dealer did not have the Epic on display to wet test it. (No models had water in them). He's a small dealer. I would have to drive 130 miles (one way) to wet test the Marquis or Caldera. The quotes I got are as follows: I live in Missouri. Hot Springs: Grandee (07) 8,995 Envoy (07) 8,295 Vista (07) 9,500 Vanguard (07) 7,895 Marquis, All Signature Models: (08) Epic 9,895 Destiny 8,995 Euphoria 7,995 Reward 6,395 My questions are, since I am closer to the HP and Marquis, would it be better to purchase from a dealer close to me for service and products? I need to know the difference between the Grandee & Epic. These are the two in the running for us. The Epic has the ozonator, does the Grandee? Also what does the ozonator do? I need some input on my purchase. Thanks, Alice
  5. How much in chemicals? I have a dealer now with the Caldera Geneva and he wants 9500 including lift and stairs. He told me the a years worth of chemicals will be an additional 250.00. I intend to wait till he calls me back and offer him 9,000 plus he throw in the 1 year of chemicals. He can chose to do it or not. Anyone have a quote on a Geneva they can share? Jack
