  1. We don't have a coping around our pool (the stamped concrete is cantilevered), our main concern with a coping or other change of surface is weeds getting in there and problems with cracking/heaving during the freeze/thaw season (in CT)
  2. water it 1-2x a day for a week or so... I think they should have mentioned it to you! The plaster makes it fairly smooth.
  3. We use Nature2 in our Caldera, you absolutely need to add some dichlor (we use Spaguard chlorinating concentrate) to keep it at 1ppm. We add every 2-3 days, shock 1x per week.
  4. We have stamped concrete, the contractor put in an additive with the sealer called "shark grip". It's only too slippery when the pool deck is soaked, you get right out of the pool and have wet feet and make a quick cut. Mostly kids have this problem...
  5. http://www.fibrestars.com/ps/prods/waterfs.htm, look towards the bottom of the page... in regards to the fiber being dim, you can't cut it with a regular knife (crushes the fibers). You do need a "hot knife" Either way it won't be as bright as a regular pool light
