  1. We have a 5+ year old Cal Spa hot tub and we need a new cover for it. There are TONS of sites on the internet for covers - anyone have any positive (or negative) experience buying a hot tub cover? Anyone to recommend? Thanks, roseya
  2. I too am looking at the Marquis Reward. Not sure what the Signature model means - is that with the LED lights and stereo? A few months back, I was quoted $8500 for a 2008 model with the lights and stereo and $7000 for a 2007 floor model with no lights or stereo as he was trying to get them off his floor. Hope this helps - if you can tell me what the Signature model you were quoted includes, I'd be interested to know. Thanks!
  3. No problem Dandygrl34 - I'm sure folks know you didn't intend to post that many times. Thanks for the info...we got a quote almost identical to the price before tax for the same tub/features...but that's a good idea to ask for a bottom line price with tax included. I will have to see about that!
  4. Hi Dandygrl34 Do you mind sharing what you paid for your Euphoria? Is it brand new or a store floor model? What's the color combo? Did you get it with the extras of the lights and stereo? I'm still price checking here...Thanks! Roseya
  5. Hi there, Open seating just means there aren't any barriers betwen seats (arm rests, etc) and that there isn't a lounge seat where you can lay down. You probably just want seats because the lounges can be a bit deeper. They also take up a whole side of a tub normally (or most of one side) so it may mean less seats. I have not purchased a tub yet, but am going to purchase a Marquis Euphoria. I am also about 5' and wanted a tub that didn't have too deep of seats. I really liked this tub when I tested it out - so maybe it's worth taking a look for you. It's a bit bigger and can fit 7-8 people. But Marquis has some smaller tubs for 4-5 people. The Marquis brand seems to get good reviews and is well liked. Price-wise it's not too bad. I've been quoted about $7000 for a 2007 model as they're trying to clear them out. Or a bit higher ($8500) for a 2008 model with lights and a stereo. Roseya
  6. Hi Shawv, I too am looking at purchasing a Marquis Euphoria - I love this tub! Where in the country do you live so I can compare to the prices I'm getting? I've been quoted $7000 for a 2007 floor model without the lights and stereo and $8500 for a 2008 floor model with the lights/stereo. Have you had it delivered yet? If so, what do you think? What color combo did you get? Did you get to choose it or was it a floor model? Thanks for any answers you can give me! Roseya
  7. I must admit, I don't know the difference between a "signature package" with adagio (is that the stereo?) and constellation. Is constellation the lights? The tub I looked at is a 2008 with both stereo and LED lights. Does that mean anything as far as the constellation and signature parts go?
  8. $7100 with stereo and LED lights enshinGuy? 2007 or 2008 model? Thanks for your help!
  9. Live in Louisville, Kentucky. The 2008 floor model w/ stereo and lights is priced at $8500. The 2007 model is $7000. Sat in the wet 2008 w/ the extras and although originally wasn't planning on going to extras route - it felt nice and luxurious. We just took the price he wrote down, said we'd think about it and left. Hoping I can get him closer to the $7500 range for the 2008. If we can, we'd take it. Saw a posting from someone in Sacramento getting the same $8500 tub for $7300! Any thoughts?
  10. I don't know who you were asking the color combo of for the 2007 models, but I have 2 Maquis Euphoria's at the dealer that I could choose from. One is blue marble look with a light grey cabinet and chrome jets. The other is tan with red speckles interior and a reddish exterior. He's askign $7000 for those. The 2008 I love that is loaded with the stereo, lights and chrome is white interior and dark grey exterior for $8500. I'd love to get him to $7500-$8000 or so for that one. Any thoughts?
  11. Can I ask which Marquis you are negotiating over? I'm looking at a Marquis floor model and a couple of 2007 models - all Euphoria which I was quoted a lot higher for. One model is a 2008 loaded with stereo and LED lights the other ones are 2007 and don't have the stereo and lights. If you can share that info, I'd appreciate it.
  12. Found the tub for us - the Marquis Euphoria. Now we need to negotiate the price with the dealer. He has two 2007 models he wants to clear out that he'll sell for $7000 that have no bells and whistles and we don't choose color choices. He also has an 2008 with the LED lights, the stereo and floating remote. Anyone recently purchased this tub and has a price to share? I saw a post that said they got the 2008 tub with the stereo, lights and remote for $7300. I'm getting quoted much higher than that. Any other postings would be much appreciated!
  13. Found the tub for us! The Marquis Euphoria. I'm about 5 feet tall and it's one of the few tubs that seem to accomodate both me and the other primary user who is 5'10". We bot fell in love with it. Other tubs we tested: -Jacuzzi's J-270 and J-365 - both were ok, just built for taller folks it seemed like. And not as great of a job as Marquis on including various seat heights. Cool foot dome feature in the J-365. -Catalina CL 900 - really liked this tub, it's our second choice tub. A little louder than the Marquis Euphoria but is a great tub. Especially liked the fact that each seat has it's own control lever - no divertors. -Cataline Santa Cruz - I didn't like this tub at all. Way too deep, couldn't get comfortable. Just didn't work for me. -Tested a few Marquis including the Epic, which we liked - just like the way the Euphoria fits better. But the Epic is a very nice tub. -Tried a few Emeralds, not sure of the models, but just didn't really like the seats, not molded as well I guess. -Lastly tried a top of the line Great Lakes. Nice tub, but would be wary of Great Lakes, don't think they have as good of a reputation as the Marquis do. So that's our experience! Now it's time to negotiate. Will post some questions about that in a separate thread as I'm curious to see how much folks have paid for the tub.
  14. Thanks so much for the input. I'm going to wet test the Jacuzzi's this week. I am interested in the J-365 and the J-375 (they are bringing this model back for 2008). I saw that they are full foam insulated - which to me sounds like it would be more energy efficient. I live in Louisville, KY where Jan/Feb do get into the single digits and teens at night. I'm not looking to increase my energy bill $60-$70, but $10 or so a month sounds reasonable. The Four Winds dealer wasn't super friendly and flat out said "no" on wet testing the model I wanted to. So no buying from him. I believe I am entitled test out something I'm going to be spending several thousand dollars on...! Thanks again for the responses!
  15. Thanks for the opinion Dr. Spa. Did you get a message I tried to send to you? I am also curious about the full insulation vs the partial insulation - any thoughts? I just visited our Four Winds dealer and they only let you wet test what they have filled, which wasn't the model I was interested in...seems odd. Why would I buy it without trying it first? Roseya
