  1. soo far the remote works fine, but u are right the control seemed a bit complex but with time it is ok
  2. I cannot help myself but to tell you to stay away from hydrospa. i ve had a long list of break downs and malfunctions with the Legend model i got from Costco and at the to be left with my problem by Hydrospa itself. Costco luckily bail me out of this piece of crap. Please Read previous posting about others experience with Hydrospa.
  3. I use 2 heavy gauge tarps overlapping i tie the down undre the cover level and about 1' from the grown (DECK) to keep them from lifting. for good measure i tuck in snow on the tarps over the base of the tub as insulation. and it works fine for a few day (temps get easily under 15 C here)
  4. worst case use 3'' pvc pipes (cheap) and roll the spa onto them. It work fine on soft ground. you may have to shovel the snow to the ground N.B.; you might want to use 2x6s to give a flat rolling surface underneath the tub so you wont damage its surface. But hireing a pro is the wisest way !!!
  5. Actuallly i've seen such and accessory at a spa dealer, the problem was that it wasn't available in all size. But it is a white nylo type tube that strech over the filter and has a tie down rope at the open end. It is machine washable and cost about $25 . It was very similar to a nylon stocking mabe a bit more sturdier.
  6. Effectively Lisa T.'s reasoning is sound I had a shitload of problem with my platinumIII an hydrospa basicly gave me and old bottle and told me stick an note in it and throw it overboard... and rightly Costco back me up, no problem
  7. I've try a home made towel and bathrobe rack with an overhead 15'' shelf, under the shelf i put in 2 ''pig lamp" bougt at a farmer harware. So far it works good but the hard part is to figure out the right heigth between the lamps and the rack depending on the outside temperature..... Please respect the electrical code for the installation.
  8. Sorry but the lack of respect that hydro spa showed to their customer has totally destroyed any chance of ever have any ''second chance''. Be aware that future spa buyer will have ''no warranty'' againt another chapter 11 round !!!??? Has from the employees and workers that have probably lost their job....I feel for them, but Dr. Spa has the essence of the problem here it is not the customers who have put their hard hearn money but the management with theirs screwy plans and actions that screws customer and worker alike. Do not forget that $8000 cast is still a lot of money for a lot a people. Last but not least, is it possible that buying a spa at Costco ''witch by the way honnored the warranty'' are doing so not only because it is a good deal but also it is a fair price for a first shot for someone who are not sure they will like having a spa or are not sure at their need and usage of it.
  9. For those who are looking for a trick, try using multiple 4'' or 5'' pvc pipes alternatively. the spa will move flat and quite easily over flat surface (even soft ones). i ve used 5 x 8' pipes and it worked fine at very loo cost. Archie
  10. Did the same set up , and the reflective side (no the mat one ) should be one the side you what to keep your heat (aluminum paper principle) to get sufficient air feed for the blower you can consider a closing air intake (kinda like dyrer exhauts and they come in PVC too) rigid piping shoul be used and in a sufficient diametre (but not too big). Also think or water infiltration possibility in choosing the position of your intake. Intake can be found in hardware store in the central heating system departement and/or even central cleaner parts. Archie
  11. sorry buddy I m in montreal and only costco will back their spa so far. i phone hydrospa in pte claire and in florida and i go the you are on your own treatment even if i had pending repairs. Luckily it was the repair technician that rawnd me about the bankcrupsy costco didn t even knew at the time Archie
  12. I think i can answer both questions to some extend ( the costco one and the pilates one ) 1st Costco will take back my spa to back their product and arragment are been made to find a solution to get another spa from anonther manifacturer or a full refund if i'm no satisfied. 2nd I phoned Pilates (and yes they are in Florida) they call me back the same day and answered all my service and tecnical related question ( most of thems winter related and service related due to my experience with hydrospa...) All where anwered where satisfatory and those that were not answered were the later day by another call from them. N.B.: all thier answered were been backed by email documentation.. I ll keep new developement posted Archie
  13. The man is right ! I've had my share of problems this this spa and when i heard from my service guys (who's almost family now ..LOL ) That hydrospa was filing for bankupsy protection , my first move was to contact costco and they confirm that they will be backing their product. As form my problem i didn't want the thing anymore since i've had troubles and they are gonna take it back and are actively working on finding a solution for me. Has much as Hydrospa service sucked, costco is remarkebale.
