  1. See if there is an Aqua Cal dealer in your area.. by far the best out there!
  2. check your Calcium level.. it should be between 200-250ppm.. if lower then bring it up.. the harder the water the less it will foam. also a small amount of foam is acceptable but it should not build up higher then and inch nor stay after the jets are turned off for more then a minuite.
  3. Both Cal Spas and Clearwater and many other brands have this problems. There just cheap jets and they wear out over time. If they did not they would be covered under warrenty. The water chemistry just speeds things up over time and I am not over convinced that the problem lays in the bromine generator as well. I an no scientest but I can say that I have heard many complaints about that system causing all kinds of problems. Not trying to sound like a jerk or anything but its a common problem in the indrusty across the board for the most part.
  4. the real problem is that it wont stay high... most of everything going into the spa has a low ph.. chemicals, sanitizers and you. So this will cause the ph to drop and that will be corosive and cause damage to the shell and pumps. The first to go will be your pump seals and that will cause the pumps to leak.
  5. You have to get ALL of the Baqua goo out of the spa and the pipes, the filter, etc. Have you replaced the filter? You can also try shocking the spa with the "spa shock" just make sure its MPS .. orOxysheen, Oxybrite.. one of those types.. this will consume the Baqua faster and make it eaiser to transfer over your spa.
  6. First.. call Orkin.. get rid of the ants.. after that use the spa.. you will love it. Ask your local pool and spa dealer about either soft soak by Bio lab or Baqua Spa. Those are both great options for a non-chlorine approach. Just make sure you follow directinos and dont cut corners on the system and it will work great.
  7. Shocking is important.. but if no ones goes in it there is nothing to shock out of it. if you put in a light shock befor everyone goes in after 2-3 weeks you should be fine.. that is as long as you maintained a proper sanitizer level all that time. Ps.. make sure you always leave your cover off for at least 20 min after you shock. helps with gassing off the stuff out of the spa after shocking and will give you better results.
  8. From what I have seen the price is thousands lower then MSRP price but I am sure your local dealer is not all that much higher then what its being sold at Costco.. also way out the more options that you will have at your dealer vs. Costco and go with one that is the best fit. Same spa either way! Now depending what market your in and I belive your in the Seattle market then its a great deal if you go with the less options that you get at the Costco. Because the only option you get are with or with out stereo. Good luck.
  9. I know that I am new here but just a thought.. your right on the Maxxus not fitting a bunch of people.. it is really only a 4-5 person spa and was made to be that way not a party tub. If you are looking for a larger tub to fit tons of people in then there are better spas then then the maxxus. Its really about how your going to use the spa when your looking at larger models that make the biggest differance. For the most part there all going to be more then 10k. I am glad to here your wet testing.. that will tell you what spa will fit your needs the best.
  10. To anwser the question of when new models come out it will be Between Dec 1st and Jan 30th more then likly.. that is when they usally come out. but some models may come out early or later depending upon production. I dont see many changes but there may be a few small ones. Second.. as for the price changes for september.. The dealer makes the prices not the Manufacture. So I dont quite know what you mean by this above? Also it would vary greatly depending upon what market or city you were in.
  11. They sell these at Costco in the seatle area and the optima was 8k so it seams alot cheaper then a dealer. See if you have a local Costco that may have them. Soakerman... Go to your local Dealer this weekend to buy the Sundance.. Trust me .. you will thank me for it!
  12. Lets get some facts correct please about Sundace at Costco shall we.. 1. You are buying the spa from Costco.. you will pay costco for it (in full by the way cash only unless you have and american express card) 2.Correct.. you have a limited models, Limited colors and the ONLY option you have is with or with out stereo. 3. Yes the dealer will support you fully. As mater of fact you will talk to a salesperson at the Costco in seattle from the local dealer when you go to buy it. So.. this is all fact not opnion by the way.. I have personaly worked the costco shows selling the sundance spas for the local dealer. Its a great deal but the only bad side is that there are no optoins and you can only pay cash for it or american express. but sometimes the local dealer will have a special sale that will be slightly lower then the Costco price and that has happend befor so don't discount looking at the local dealer.
