  1. WOW! no replies. I removed control box and removed circuit board. You can visibly see the burned spot on the board at the htr element connection.
  2. I have a new to me Keys spa. Everything works as it should except no heat. The heater light is on at the control. I removed the connectors and ohmed the element and it was 11 ohms. With the spa running after initial startup I connected my DVOM to the 2 terminals of the heating element and I don't get any voltage reading. Is this a circuit board problem? If so any tips on removing the circuit board? Will I see any burnt places on the board? The spa pack box has part # 54358 Keys100D, the board has part#22972 VS500Z SN64369
  3. The valve position handle just broke on my Jacuzzi brand filter, It is a 7 position valve. It appears Jacuzzi has been sold out and they are a very confused company now so getting a part from them doesn't seem possible. Does anyone know of a source of Jacuzzi filter parts?
  4. I believe that's the correct name for what I've seen some spa advertise. What is it and what other types are there?
  5. I live in East TN. The antique was a wood cabinet Down East 3 person rectangular spa. What was good about it was it was very cheap and the water was nice and hot on a nice cool night. I don't really want much in a spa besides dependability and a reasonable cost to operate and maintain. As I said we didn't use the jets much as weliked soaking in quiet more than the noise of the bubbles. As far as wet testing I don't seem to find anyone that bothers to fill the resonable priced tubs, they always have the "spa for a king" up and running with the built in stereo,TV and other junk I'm not interested in and a price I'm not interested in spending.
  6. I've been to the local dealers and since finding this forum have looked at online deals. What I want is a basic spa for 2 or 3 people to replace the antique I have now that I purchased used years ago. Budget is a concern and definetly under $4k. I'm more interested in soaking more then all of the bubbling and jets. Local dealers carry Hydrospa,DM Industries Vita spa, and Cal Spa. Local manufacturers that I can buy from are Dynasty and Infinity. I can pickup and install the spa myself or handle everything after curbside delivery. Given that info what spas would you recommend?
  7. Local dealer sells the Reflections line from DM, they also make Vita from what I read. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with these? Dealer has 3 stores and has been around for a while, says spa comes with 3yr. complete warranty with his service.
  8. How do you like your spa so far? I'd like to know more about it as Infinity is one of my choices as they're made close by me and I can pick one up on my trailer. Dynasty is another brand that is made close to me that I could pick up easily.
  9. Stopped by one of the local spa dealers and he sells DM Industries/Vita Reflections Spas. Anyone have any info or feedback on the quality of these? The dealer has 3 stores and has been in business for quite a few years in the area. He made it sound like he offers a 3yr. complete warranty on these.
  10. I've had an old hot tub and it's finally given it up. I'm looking to buy a new one this year and would like suggestions and advice on how or what to compare. What we want is a tub that will be used by only the 2 of us. Jets and bubblers are nice but many times in our old tub we shut them off to just enjoy the quiet soak at night. I have wiring in place for 220v already and would think a 220v would be more efficient. The budget on this is about $3500 or less of course. I do live near where dynasty and Infinity Spas are built but I don't know about buying direct. http://www.poolandsparatings.com/spas.html Is this spa ratings site worth considering?
