  1. Just got it and it didn't work at all with my Intex 1500gph pump....no skimming action, seemed like the skimmer was under water too much and anything that came toward it just came right out the other side. Hope I can return it.
  2. I have a 18' x 4' Intex Metal Frame, Vinyl lined A/G pool. This is the second season and it is still loads of fun for the family. But....I have been struggling with making the non-standard sized inflow/outflow ports work with my non-Intex vacuum. Intex has inlet/outlet holes that are about 3" while all the vacuums are 1-1/2" diameter. Does any one know of any reducer adapters to make Intex work easily with standard 1-1/2" push on vacuum hoses? Intex has one sort of adapter that comes with the maintenance kit and even still the 1-1/2" hoses don't fit. I had to piece together so many different things to make it work...I just wonder if there is an easier solution. Any Intex pool owners out there that solved this issue? Thanks, Katherine
  3. I just ordered this product (Polaris LCS Leaf Canister and Skimmer) to hopefully use with my new Baracuda Zoom vaccum. It seems great because it attaches to the vacuum hose so you can vacuum and skim at the same time and save your filter from extra debris. Hope it works. http://www.bestbuypoolsupply.com/polaris-l...4&zmap=r580 I used a Wanda the Whale vacuum before with a separate skimmer and had to switch back and forth. Wanda worked great but it broke a week ago. This time I went with a vacuum with less parts to break. The Zoom is working great so far. Just make sure you get all the air out of the tubes or your pump will freak out. My main trouble has been trying to get my non-standard size Intex pool inflow and outflow ports to fit with the standard 1-1/2 inch connectors. But you might not have that problem. Hope this helps.
