  1. FYI, my Emerald can run all jets at the same time and do NOT use diverter valves !
  2. Why are you trying to slam Emerald? I love my Emerald. What parts are they using that you consider cheap? And what qualifications do you have to make that comment?
  3. BruceRN, Your welcome for the info. In response to your questions, No I have not had any issues with the pressure-treated base. I know that it would be nice to have a plastic base, but I am satisfied with the quality of the Emerald. They are not a large manufacturer, but I really liked the fact that they custom make the spas for each customer. And, no offense taken, I am not an Emerald dealer. Just another fan and user of a spa. Good luck this weekend.
  4. Both Hot Springs and Sundance build solid spas and have a good reputation. I would be in favor of Sundance, especially since your friend likes the spa and feels the dealer has taken care of them. But it really comes down to your GUT feeling. What spa is more comfortable. And from which dealer do you get a warm and fuzzy feeling from?? Good Luck!
  5. I think $9300 is a good price, but more importantly do YOU feel this is a good value for you? If you have a dealer that is close to you, I would not worry about the lack of dealers in other areas. If your dealer does go out of business, most manufacturers will still back the warranty. Emerald has a very good reputation (from what I've heard and seen) about taking care of their customers. I've had my Emerald for about 6 years, and I love it! It is a beefy looking spa with lots of jets! And the warranty is good. Although I have not needed any service as of yet. Good Luck.
  6. The company this person is working for is Mr. Spas. They carried many different brands over the years. Great Lakes dropped them a while back because of their shady business practises. On top of this, the owner of Mr. Spas was going into other nearby Great Lakes dealers and posing as the owner of Great Lakes. FACT. In regards to them being the biggest dealer in West Michigan - true, if you are counting the number of their locations - mostly mall locations. There is no data to support that the brand they sold was #1 in West Michigan. Just his personal opinion. FACT. Besides, with his attitude and selling techniques, would you buy from him? My guess is probably not. They actually help other dealers in Grand Rapids sell more spas. FACT. And if they are the Biggest dealer and growing, why is it that they closed all their mall locations, including Rivertown mall? And most importantly, why is it that they closed their main store and will be re-opening as Master Spas of West Michigan? FACT IMO, JoakerSoaker needs to cool down. He's the one that seems insecure. He sounds like a sore loser.
  7. D1 is a good spa. Although Emerald is as good or better, but definately gives you more spa for the price. I've heard that Viscount is a very good dealer and takes care of their customers. Hope this helps!
