  1. good price if it is a late 09
  2. I finally took a few pictures to share.
  3. I will let you know. I just registered my tub and Bullfrog will send the $500 rebate along with the gas and grub rebate info.
  4. Wet test for sure. I am so glad I did. Wet tested Sundance, Hot Springs, and Bullfrog. Bullfrog by far had the best jets! (Although the moto massage was really great also). Each tub within a brand can be very different also. Some tubs may have the same jets but different size pumps or the same pump but driving differnt or number of jets so that will affect how the jets feel to you.
  5. Make sure you wet test. I did not like the Sundance optima (my sister has the Sundance maxamus and loves it), I really like the Hotsprings moto massage, but in the end I like the Bullfrog 462 seating and loved the jets. Now I just have to choose which jetpaks I want. bottom line ... WET TEST WET TEST WET TEST WET TEST WET TEST WET TEST.
  6. Welcome Brenda! I will be a new Hot tub owner soon and have learned a lot on this forum. My choice came down to Hot Springs Vanguard and Bullfrog 462. I wet tested a Sundance optima, HS Envoy, and Bullfrog 682 and 462. I ended up buying a BF 462. I really liked the comfort and seating arrangement of the 462. The new 09 HS has a very impressive lighting system and the moto massage was great but price, local dealer, and Bullfrog jets, seating comfort were the major factor in my choice between HS and BF. BF does have a rebate offer right now. I do not know anything about Beachcomber. Make sure you grab your suit and go wet test. You might love one and hate the other? Aaron
  7. I prefer the basics as there is less to break and dissapoint. Open seating design with good ergonomics. Multiple seating positions with different depths and jet compliments. Some amount of jet adjustability but it doesn't have to be individual by seat. One seat that will blast my old aching body when I need it. Reasonable priced and easily obtainable replacement parts. I do my own work whenever I can. Quality parts throughout. A great dealer network to back me up that's close, reasonably priced, and available. That's basically it. I could not have said it any better. Can't wait for my Bullfrog to get here.
  8. "I agree, with the trouble I've had, a good company would attempt to work out something. One sale lost because of my bad experience would make the pump look cheap to Marquis. It's like an old business statistic that says that one lost customer tells 20 other people, and they tell 20 other people. That ends up being a lot of bad publicity." I have been in business for 10 years and have always told my clients, If you are happy go tell your friends and family, If you are not happy come tell me.
  9. The $500 rebate from bullfrog helped me make up my mind. If I get most of the G/G $1000 back great!
  10. I have found different K2006 kits? Which kit should I get? I am thinking of using your bleach meathod Nitro but since this is my first tub I my try Bromine down the road? I like to tinker and experiment so not afraid to moniter my tub levels closely. Thanks for all of your input here.
  11. It seems that their are different 2006 test kits. I will be getting my tub soon and want to have a kit ready. Which kit should I get? Thanks Aaron
  12. Hate rebates but I think I have always gotten my money when I have sent in rebates in the past. I need to send in a few Verizon wireless rebates for a few phones I just purchased. $100 worth, but I will send them in.
  13. From my understanting you choose the retailer but only one for each, so you are tied into that grocer and gas station once you start.
  14. I'll let you know. The gas/grocery rebate is $25/$25 per month for 20 months. You must pick the gas station and grocery store of your choice and submit $100 worth of recipts a month to get $25/$25 back. My dealer says it is a pain to do but due dilagence is worth $1000. This rebate is not thru BullFrog but a third party. I asked if costco could be used as the grocery store. I can not go to costco for under $100 so easy for me to come up with recipts their.
  15. Thank you for sharing your experience. I plan to test an Optima to see what I think. I found the 362 for only $5,200 at another dealer (before the $500 rebate). The price seems very good to me. What specifically did you like about the Bullfrog better? As for the Optima, the jets were ok and seating was fair, but this is my opinion. This is the reason why wet testing is so important. I wet tested a Hot Spring Envoy and did not like it, I floated in the lounger and the other seats jets were good to fair. (moto is great by the way). What I liked about the BF is the ability to have both pumps on high or low. Very quiet on low and give a nice swirling of the water. I aslo like the choice in jetpaks. I need to pick out four and only have one that I know for sure. My dealer is going to let me have a few jetpaks to borrow and use them in my tub to see which ones I like. I may buy an extra jetpak but do not like the idea of changing them around once I figure out which ones and where I want them. As to the BF 462 the seat just seemed to fit me so well(6'1") and each seat is at a little different angle and height. It also has wrist, calf, and foot jets that I liked. No diverters to deal with. Hope this helps. Let us know what you find with your wet testing.
