Hi all, I am new to the forum. I was hoping to get some advice from you all.

I have managed to get myself totally confused regarding replacing my current lighting with LED. I am 95% sure that I have a Pentair niche and light (we didn't have this pool built) and from what I can find via internet a Colorlogic 4.0 would fit. However, when talking to a pool builder/service man he indicated that he would not spend the extra money for the Colorlogic 4.0, he would get a Colorsplash 3G (edison base, replacement bulb only) instead. Does anyone here have any experience with the Colorsplash 3G? Also, I have seen some comments regarding the use of LED replacement bulbs as being unsafe because they are not certified to work with your current light fixture. To anyone's knowledge, is that the case?

Thanks in advance for any information you can provide. I have looked on the internet so long, that I have only managed to get myself more confused!

Thanks again.

I don't have any info to help you out, but we are installing a Pentair IntelliBrite today. It looks like a nice piece and only draws 40 something watts. That is much better than 300 or 500. We did not have a light before and are looking forward to anything. The rest of our house is lit with CFLs or LEDs already.

Keep us posted on what you go with.
